My grill is plasti dipped!! I'll post pics here later!!hahakenny wrote:Is Plasti Dip on the front grille easy to take off? I'm thinking it may be a pain but I'm considering a temporary black-out on the grille.

Looks SICK!!! Keep this set up!!mexillis wrote:Just making a random thread for anyone who wants to share what they've plasti dipped. I'll start with some pics of the wheels I did.
It took about 40 minutes per wheel, 5 coats and waiting about 5 minutes in between. I removed my wheels when I did it instead of covering the brakes so that took however long. I only used 2 cans but probly should of bought 3 bcuz once I looked at them in the daylight I missed a couple spots some how. here's a daytime pic, the specs are just road debris btw.06M4.5 wrote:pics look good, any day pics?
how long did it take for each wheel?

Make sure the black plasti-dip is dry before you put clear coat. It works great.GQM45s wrote:Has anyone tried using clear on their plasti dip job?
I am considering trying it on my grille after the black plasti dip job.... anyone have any results?
You can try the paint clear coat but make sure that plast-dip colored coating is dry and is particles free if not you will have weeping plasti-dip.GQM45s wrote:does anyone know if any clear coating will work? I have to wait for this stupid order to ship and I would like to get this done as soon as possible
