Is Plasti Dip on the front grille easy to take off? I'm thinking it may be a pain but I'm considering a temporary black-out on the grille.

It is very easy to take off but something with so many different angles and small crevasses like the grille might be a little more difficult. It will come off just might take some time getting it completely clean

Gonna get some window tints and powder coat my rims soon hopefully.

Post

im ordering plasti dip now on a 08 Blue Slate m35 to do the wheels and possibly grill/accents, should i go with black or smoke? any opinions. eventually going to get black window tints as well, but plasti dip is a much cheaper upgrade for now, should black tint affect my dip color? anything helps guys

I like the first photo a bunch. Not a fan of the stock rims flat black, though.

It took about 40 minutes per wheel, 5 coats and waiting about 5 minutes in between. I removed my wheels when I did it instead of covering the brakes so that took however long. I only used 2 cans but probly should of bought 3 bcuz once I looked at them in the daylight I missed a couple spots some how. here's a daytime pic, the specs are just road debris btw.

Make sure the black plasti-dip is dry before you put clear coat. It works great. :bigthumb:

You can try the paint clear coat but make sure that plast-dip colored coating is dry and is particles free if not you will have weeping plasti-dip.

WELL plasti dip is cheap and I work at Lowes so its cheaper for me. A buddy and me did my wheels, grill and a few emblems. I will soon get the roof wrapped gloss block along with all the window trim. Spring time I'll powder coat the wheels semi gloss but for now and $17 I'm happier than I was before today.
