Chris, I will earn more than she did, as long as I work one extra shift a week. They do let us work some extra, but it's only if needed. There aren't always needs :/ I'm mostly concerned about her loss of benefits. She had great health insurance and retirement plans. Not to mention, I won't be able to work extra as an RN until about October (we have a 12 week orientation period). Anyway, it's all good. She might be able to go to grad school for free. The head of the grad program she is applying to wants to hire her as her new grad assistant. So, that'll give her a meager income, but more importantly, paid for school.
