It has been dyno proven to help the n/a when trying to get everything you can out of it, but there is several other things before hand I would consider doing first before going dual pop on the n/a as it's really not to noticeable. And ya we n/a guys all want to be tt lol difference is i have had the engine and parts for the swap for about 3yrs now.......
Yeah makes sense, I'm not trying to do too much on my N/A performance wise. I'm planning on just going for looks, Suspension & comfort.

& hahaa ! Better start piecing that bad boy together sooner before later !
BlackWidowZ wrote:So like 140, for metalized thats with 15% discount. I have too see hwre you are located. I got the same quote from a tint shop in md, with no discount have to see which is farther. The National Tint in chantilly wants about 165. That seems to be the going rate at the moment. But a few years ago 100 dollars cash give or take could get a car done right with quality tint.

Personally i plan on doing no mods to my NA whatsoever, from all I've read modded NA is weaker than stock TT. So I rather spend the money on the swap, and gains from that.
I'm going to PM you.

& +1 on your plans for your NA ! :bigthumb:

Pretty much what i'm doing to mine. :woot:

Probable shouldn't have ordered them so soon, but I couldn't let the Group buy for the Powertrix coilovers pass with out taking action. Just put a %50 down payment of $430 on the PowerTrix SS sport street Standard coilovers. :mike  :BnB:

Also, ordered some foglights, a new center console & a custom fit speaker box in the trunk for my 12'' sub about 2 days ago. Hopefully, something comes in today so I have a project for Sunday, besides adding my new PCV hoses.

Got my new center console in the mail on Saturday, right when i got home from work I started to tear out the old one. I only have a few pictures, i need to take a few more with the problem i ran into with fitting the new console. The rear interior piece thats sorta in a T-bone shape that sits right behind the console woulnd't let me open the console up all the way. but besides that she fit like a charm, and doesn't make a cracking sound everytime I put my right elbow on it. :mike

Picture of the new one ( Black leather, bought it for $85 and its in mint condition) even came with a new e-brake boot!
Image

Quick question for anyone else who may have one of these in their Z. I will take a picture of it from the out side, but this is it from the inside.
Image
It says " ZX series remote controller rev.8" On the outside there is a "Tuner-like knob" there was a wire that went back to the amp/speaker wires for the rear. But, I'm not to sure what that would control when I have my sub hooked up.. If no one else knows then fugg it. But I guess only time will tell when I have my sub finally installed.

ALSO, Got tired of my shift boot.. And instead of buying a new leather one, I ran into an old Crown Royal bag in my room. & decided why not ? LMK what you think. I plan on making a bit tighter all the way around so it looks snug tight on there. (A little dark, but you should be able to see enough)

Besides all of that ^^^ there. I still have my foglights to come in, my custom cut speaker box & I think one more thing but I can't remember what it was lol :rotfl Kinda just went on a shopping spree last week. But yeah then weekend after I get paid I'll be doing my over-dued 120k maintenance!

I'll be back to post more pictures of my little interior fitment problem, and just to show you a little more with my DSLR camera!

Well at least in my eyes. :gotme
I know it's 3M film, not too sure on the specifics of it. I know it's not metallic based though. A local shop did it for $220 out the door which was a hook up to do all 5 windows (didn't do the T-tops).

And that Crown Royal bag is great, my drink of choice :bigthumb:

That sounds about right. Damn I bet they were looking to charge an extra 75-90 bucks for the t-tops huh? I did mine when I was in rush and it took me about 30 minutes to knouck out both with %5 but the cut out I did on the plastic mounting piece was terrible. Looks like a 5 year old did it lmao. So i need to re-do that when I actually have time to. cause everytime I look up in m car I look at the cut out around them and just shake my head. :tisk: I even tried to fill it with sharpie & it made it even worse :rotfl

But thanks! Yeah crown is a hell of a drink can never go wrong with it ! ... You know unless you black out and end up somewhere your not suppose to be.... but besides that its great ! :dblthumb:

Not sure why you'd wanna tint the T tops... They've got shades on them, and it's great when you have a girl to take the shades out and look at the stars. $.02

And as far as that controller thing, I haven't a clue. Looks more like a phone hookup thing. I couldn't tell you though.

When I got mine I didn't get the shades with my T-Tops. But, yeah I had a buddy of mine look at it and turns out that it is to adjust the bass. Unfortunately the previous owner cut the other side of the cable to that another thing I have to replace. :/

OK.
So, besides all my parts that came in (Fogtlights, speaker box, ect) Us over here in Northern Virginia got a good 4-5 inches of snow. So being who I am, me and my buddy who owns a 90' FC RX7 were sliding around in our old high schools parking lot  Everything went perfectly, no crashing or nothing only stalled the car once. This was the first night at 12pm. The next day, I still had to go to work but got off at 2. Right around 3pm I went to go back to that parking lot to get a little side ways. & once again everything was perfect no crashing nothing. Now after I left to go to meet up with my buddy with the rx7, I noticed when I would get up to around 40 mph my steering wheel would begin to shake a lot. Bu without me hitting a curb or crashing or anything.. I don't see how this could possibly happen.
Only thing that comes to mind is my ball joints were bad or tie rods.. So i'm going to lift the front end & rear end and do the ol' hands on 12 & 6 and see I get it any serious movement.

As much as I am pissed that this occurred, i'm kind of glad that it did. I'd rather find out about it now, instead of on the highway or somewhere a lot worse. Now this could be my excuse to buy new sway bars, along with my tie rods & ball joints :gapteeth:

But other than that I'll have some pics up tonight of the custom fit speaker box inside the car and tell my little story behind that as well. All of you are gonna :tisk: at me HAHAHa :chuckle:

Since i'm at work this is the only photos I have are the ones on my phone but here was us out at mid-night in the parking lot, my fogs, and my box .

Buddys Rx-7 is a retro'd fitted Na to Turbo swap.
(This is around when the storm just started )

Yeah I've had to deal with the same kinds of things with my car. It had an amp and all but only 1 speaker worked. This is what I found when I pulled off my driver side door panel:

HAHA ! Yeah It's funny the things you find when you buy cars and then bring them home and start taking panels off lol I have a 2 wires that have to be atleast 12 feet long balled up and zipped tied going from the head unit to the rear, just laying right next to my gear box :tisk:
It's pretty funny finding all of this random electrical s*** just bunched up and fitted in my car & for me I hate wiring, never seems to fail to give me a head ache.

SAME!! I had a massive amount of speaker wire underneath that panel behind the driver seat, had be at least 10-15 feet of it. And is it me, or can no one strip wire to save their lives? They all looks like someone tried to use nail clipper to strip the wires lol

Mine also came with a Viper alarm/remote start sytem that didn't work at all except to set off the car alarm and blinkers. I ended up just taking the whole "brain" control box thing out for now. That thing was wired into EVERYTHING lol I still have like 5 pounds of extra wiring around my steering wheel area that I just zip tied up for now.

Hahahaha!! I havn't even checked behind the driver seat yet! I bet theres another massive bunch of wiring running through out it ahaha!
& Yeah really tell me about it all of mine looks like a damn dog came and just tore it to s***. lol

But nice atleast that saves you from buying it and just gotta pay for the labor to get installed, or just do it yourself if you know. & lmfao yeah thats the best thing to do when it comes to tons of feet of wire just zip it up and push it aside for another day hahaha

Been off here for a while; busy with work and looking into buying my first house.

But heres what i've done in the mean time.

Installed my PowerTrix sport/street coilovers.
2.25 inch drop all the way around.. i'm planning on getting a just a little bit lower in the front.
Image

Installing these things was a lot easier than I thought
Image

The before & after difference
Image

Also installed a new pbmax shiift knob.
Image

Tinted my front turning signals
Image

Heres with the lights on.
Image

These LED fog lights are extremely weak!! I some what like the look of them but they are not bright at all! planning on switching them out soon.

Here's how the rear is looking.
Image

& this is how she's currently sitting as of today.
Image

Up next I plan on vynil wrapping the car in a gloss black, possibly getting spacers for the front, roof spoiler & then getting to the interior!

I'm digging. I'm not a fan of tinted indicators though, but to each his own. I say why make yourself harder to see in a car this small? Same reason I don't have flushmount turn signals on my bike.

Don't tint your windshield, and don't tint your tail lights. You'll regret both. Windshield for the popo, and tails because you'll get assplowed by some idiot on a cell phone.

The Selin will help any Z32, but most don't do it on an NA because of the cost to benefit ratio.

For the fogs, if you want them to be the best fogs possible, check out the selective yellow H3s on www.candlepower.com. If you just want them to be bright white, get the Silverstar Ultras or PIAA Super Whites.

I tinted the sunroof on my DD, definitely a great idea if you don't have shades for the t-tops.

If you're in NoVA, contact this guy: http://www.yugobernie.com/inventory.html

He is simply the best resource on the mid-Atlantic coast. He'll do your 60K, and do it right, for a reasonable price.

ZCCNV is a great local club.

Car looks great, and a belated welcome to NicoClub.com!
