Nice build by the way! Very through. Also I like how you clear coated everthing before installing. My engine use to be pretty once :(

I have a buddy with a vh swap and since there pretty easy to get I alway tell his to get the J30 diff from the junk yark. Its almost free! him car now is mostly all show and no go. Its like a low 14 - high 13 car. I'm sure he could do 200mph and I know it gets pretty good milage on the hwy but I think bumping that car up to the 3.80 final would really make his car come alive.

My Q45 diff was practically free as well. There are changes to come to my car next year... After this one is moving on it's own power, I will begin rebuilding ANOTHER VH45 with upgraded fuel injection, upgraded internal components, TTBs, Dual RMT systems, and several other cool ideas I've been cooking up throughout this build.

Thats a good idea to get your car running and then build another VH on the side.

I also like the fact that I can learn all that I need to about the VH before I start my next VH build. ALSO, I want to get a later model VH (94-96) so that I can utilize the better injectors, the better this and that, blah blah blah. I will learn all that I need to about wiring, fitment, and other details that you just can't know right off the bat. Besides, now I have like all of the OEM part numbers, where to buy the best replacement parts, and anything else that I run into trying to get this thing running. Does that mean I've half-assed this build? f*** no! If I find another well priced shell before I swap again, then this one will stay as is, because I'm doing it right!

Weight reduction?!?

Just a little confused. The metal cased one I have is only 4 pounds heavier than the non metal based version. What was the weight difference on yours?

Also where abouts are you mounting it?

I don't have it for weight reduction, I just have it because somebody I knew had it for sale for the cheap. I'm mounting mine right in the spare tire depression.
