The first 5 sets were shipped quite some time ago. However, US customs is not making an easy go of it. Scrutinizing car products is a tedious and time consuming process that Andy wasn't aware or quite prepared for.Apparently they are #3 in the queue and it's estimated that they should clear customs by the end of next week and then bank on another week for them to get into Andy's hands. Once they have been given a thorough going over by Andy and others, the final go-ahead will be given to the manufacturer to churn out them out or to make certain corrections if required. A generous guess would put the mass shipment here in about a month or more given the previous track record of factory shipping and landing in the US.Bear in mind that there was an unforeseen situation that arose which required the cancellation of manufacture by one company, searching for another suitable company and then re-negotiating the fine details of manufacture, specifications, quality control, shipping and the like. That process alone added more than 2 months onto the timeline.Andy is ensuring that the product is going to be sound, effective and cost friendly. No lense will be sold until it meets the most stringent of tolerances and standards set by Andy. The additional unforeseen wait will be well worthwhile in my mind.

BTW, thanks for the promotion, but I'm far from being a Mod on 3ZC. lolSome of you may be aware of my recent short term banning from there.

I'm sure Andy will make a very broad announcement to all Forums when they're ready to start taking orders. Not exactly the timeline he or I had envisioned and we're just as anxious as everyone else to get this on the go.

Don't worry. Andy will announce when they become available to the public. There's still some beta testing that will have to take place but I can't se that taking very long at all. A privateer effort on this scale is not going to happen over night. I think of all the other cars from the 90's that went the clear lense route and what it cost to pruchase from a large scale retailer. To have this go from conception to public availability in less than 6 months would be wishfull thinking.Patience is going to have to be key in all of this.

so... pretty dissappointed at this point.. i think almost a year is enough time to get something like this pushed if he already had a working prototype.. im surprised someone hasnt taken his idea and ran with it by now.. definitly had enough time to lol

Andy is just as fustrated as you are. This delay is not by choice by no means and Andy has a considerable amount of funds tied up in this, rest assured. Long story short, Andy is on his 3rd manufacturer due to circumstances beyond his control. This project has not been shelved by a longshot.

Lol the date is 09 on for the thread. Andy ran into issues with these that prevented him from being able to produce them. Some issues with getting them dot approved and then something about someone stealing his molds or something like that. Either way your out of luck.

That blows.

I wasnt paying attention to dates, just found it on a search.

I already have the miramoto complete retro kit so I'm still going to do it. Also just bought a set of JDM headlights so I will start as soon as that ships. wish me luck.

OEM projectors work just fine with HIDs.
