Do you have z32 brakes? If not then you just want another oem s14 bmc.

I'm assuming you do have z32 brakes, so here's a web site that will help you out.

These are part numbers for z32 BMC. What you want is 17/16 Nabco or Tokico. It's even better if you can find a one that has middle fitting already pressed in. If you have ABS, don't bother with middle fitting.

if youre gonna do a Z32 m/c, you need to replace the brake booster as well....if you just want more feel, replace your with an OEM unit, bleed your brakes, and install stainless lines...just adding a Z32 m/c will not improve your braking

Its true, I did it in steps starting with the calipers, then SS lines, BMC, then booster. That Z32 booster gave me that last 20% and now I can slam the brakes from 100MPH to Zero without any drama. Remember also the middle line connection on the Z32 BMC must be flaired to Female for it to seal properly.

If you have ABS, the middle hole will be plugged. Most of the BMC's come with the plug since most Z32's came with ABS. If you don't have ABS, the you want to remove the fitting from another BMC and tap it into the Z32 BMC. Tip: easiest way to get the fitting out is to drill a hole from the backside and then tap it out.

this is the best thread Ive seen in 240sx forum since Ive belonged to NICO...

congrats kids

Ive never understood why people upgrade the brakes on these cars so soon anyways...I know they are bigger and do have more braking power...but my car make 300 whp, and weighs roughly 2,300 lbs...and sees its fair share of tracktime (track days, drag racing, drift) and I have never felt my brakes fade...I have stock calipers, Brembo slotted/drilled rotors, Project Mu pads, custom stainless lines, new OEM m/c...I do bleed them often and use good fluids...and I have no desire to go with different brakes...

what mushy pedal feel?

assuming your brake master cylinder is functioning properly, the "mushy" feeling is the stock brake line swelling/flexing becasue they are rubber...just putting a quality line on anything dramatically changes pedal feel

After a few hot laps I can feel my brakes starting to fade. I have stainless lines, slotted rotors, and advance auto pads. Maybe if I upgraded to better pads I wouldn't experience fade, but a friend of mine has a parts z32 so I'm probably going to grab his stuff.

Bigger brakes also allow you to slow down faster without locking up. There is a higher threshold so you can brake later for faster lap times.

I'm probably making around 250ish right now, that's going up when I get my new setup together this winter, so I might as well upgrade my brakes soon.

Question answered.Personally, if there is something out there for the 240 that is an upgrade over stock and it is reasonably priced and doable....then why not do it? I like working on my car. Example: I'm gonna install the S14 digital climate control, I barely use my A/C at all and my current controller works fine but I like working on my car, it's kinda of my hobby.

lol...I know why people do it

its my hobby as well...when I feel like I need more brake, Ill prolly go Z32 brake setup...but Ive been really happy with mine thus far...

but, unless youre gonna go all out with the setup and do it right...I dont see a half a** upgrade improving your braking

I was kinda being sarcastic...but most of the threads in 240sx forum are retarded...and MOST of the people that kick it in here are retarded....I say most, becaseu there are some cool cats in here, but most are punk kids who dont know anything about cars...and are punk b****es to boot...

thats why this is the best thread Ive ever seen in 240sx forum...no bulls***, just answers and differing opinions in setups...which is why we all came here, for information

/carry on

Brake Fade comes mostly from less than quality pads and rotors. The intense heat from hard constant braking allows for excessive gas build up between rotors and pads. It’s for fractions of seconds but its enough to cause fade and then driver presses harder and that in tells more heat and fade. On My S13 I don’t get cheap on anything, especially with brakes: 30mm aluminum calipers, hawk pads, brembo drilled rotors, and SS lines. All these parts where chosen to get rid off heat faster and not for looks or what not. Next will be the aluminum spindles from a Z32 which not only will kill un-sprung weight but better heat dispersion.

Installing SS lines would help ya but if one has Z32 calipers/rotors on stock 240 BMC then SS lines will not help, think about it: the stock BMC was made to push 4-pistons, now after the conversion you pushing 12 pistons, you need the bigger Master for sure to push more fluid at a greater pressure to function good

you are correct...having the calipers and not having the BMC/booster is pointless...thats why its important to do the entire swap at one time...the whole shooting match...
