What's up everybody, I've finally started on modding my 350. This will come off as a dumb/ricey question but would I get the same sound of a JWT pop charger if I just got a new z tube and kept my stock air box? I have a 06 GT and from what I've read, the OEM stock air box is the most efficient and I really would prefer to keep it like that but that deep roar is what I love. Thank for your help in advance.

From what I understand, the stock z tube isn't really restrictive. I think the g35 guys get more sound from a z tube.

I have a pop charger and really haven't noticed a decrease in performance. I know my intake temps are 10 degrees warmer than the outside temp with it. Never checked with the factory box though.

Thanks for the response, looking into this tube http://www.evo-r.net/product/CF_Intake/index.htm and a blitz drop in filter. I like the stock air box look but I like the sound haha, probably would be cheaper to get the pop charger. The carbon fiber tube adds some sick bling, I'm just really torn between the two and I'm waiting for some sort of deal breaker for both. Thanks for the input herman!

If up get that Ztube you're going to need some other kind of intake...it's too pretty to just run into the the stock airbox. :)

Harm said pretty much everything that I've heard and would have said myself. Between those two pieces go with the popcharger first. Something you might want to consider if you haven't already is a Motodyne plenum spacer and then adding an MREV later on as your funds allow. But I'm speaking from purely performance standpoint and not frin how it sounds.

I couldn't decide so I got both haha, I'll post some pictures when I get them and installed. That's probably my next install motordyne spacer and the MREV2 I believe it is plenum. I think I caught the carbon fiber fever though...not good.

Haha which one? Here's a few on this thread rays-track-v-2-pics-on-a-z32-t481206.html
The red vert on page one is mine, the picture with the black wheels was just photoshopped. The white 2+2 with the Track V.2's on page one is mine too and on page two you'll see a picture of the trio of Z's and their current state. I only recently was handed down the keys to the 350, it's a salvage title and the guy who fixed it put 03-05 parts including the headlights :wtf2: but at least I got the led tails and the rev-up :gotme

Yummy! It never fails to amaze how much switching to a JWT popcharger or something similar really cleans up the bay.

And the Z-tube looks nice! :yesnod
