I gotta say, its cool to hate rice and all that, but I think some of the silvia badges look kinda cool- especially for the S14.

I'm not a big fan of putting them on cars that dont at LEAST have a SR, but if you've done some real work to your car, I dont see why you cant spend a little and get something you think looks nice.

Hey, I dont have any original keys (all cut keys when I bought the car), so I'm probably gonna get one of those nismo keys... so what, call me rice-- I'll still be fast and I'll still be proud of my car. I say FREEEEDOMM!

My 2 cents. I would put the badge on there if I had a sr20. But probally only if I had and s13 coupe and did a front end swap or an s14 and did an s15 body swap.

I've always felt that slapping a 180sx or silvia badge on a 240sx is best left to the immature. If someone wants to have a game of "lets pretend" with their vehicle, fine by them, but I live in reality, and regardless of how many badges I place on my vehicle, my title and insurance will always say 240sx. I dont need a badge to feel good about my car, my car makes me feel good about my car.

(my car will always remain badgless =P)

I personnally will be removing my emblems, BUT I think I will "make" a "S14" badge, that way everyone is right! Except those with s13'S of course...Damn that means I would have to make a S14a for all you Kouki's....hopeless endeavor.

well then, in floatingpoint's post, he said it's immature to slap on badges, trying to pretend to be something else. If thats so, it's the same thing as transplanting SR20s, RBs, any other kind of engine. I mean, if you say slapping on a badge try to pretend to be a silvia is immature, then wouldn't this apply to doing any other modification from another car the same thing?

I'm not saying I'm for "rice", but it's their taste. Leave it to them. Personally I wouldn't "rice" my car out. Stock is the best :)

It's just taste, and e

Hey, I don't rice out my car, neither do you I bet, but that don't mean we can start telling people their mods are rice... from what I remember, Nitekid has one hell of a cool looking S14, it wouldn't look too bad on his car... but if it's a poorly painted S14 with a cheapa$$ body kit with GTR emblems, stock intake with a pepboys cone filter, cheap exhuast tip clamped on... then that's a whole different story.

Given what Silvia007said, "rice" may not be any one mod (although I could think of a few), but a constellation of modifications that look cheesy...

I dont think there is a thing wrong with it... Iv got an s15 hood emblm and thats it, everything else has been taken off... and the reason its on there is because I think it looks a million times better than the stock nissan emblem that makes the car look like it has a button on its nose ;) and if a little thing like an emblem makes someone think that your car "is" a sivlia its their fault for being dumb and uneducated... I mean come on... the steering wheel is on the left side! Oh well... :rolleyes

Put the emblem whereever you want man....put it on the hood, put on the spoiler, put it on the bumber, put it on the rims, put on the steering wheel, put on on the dashboard, heck, put it on the door. whatever floats your boat. personally i wouldn't, but thats just me. you do what you got to do to make yourself happy. no regrets.

people have been changing there cars FOR THEMSELVES since someone took the fenders off a model t to make it faster. im sure latter somebody did it because THEY liked the look. it has progressed from there. make a statement... YOUR OWN STATEMENT, WHAT YOU LIKE. me i have no badge on my 240. they looked like poo so i took them off ( hot day and fishing line) , now I just like the smoothy look....but thats just me. maybe if i get that knockoff nismo kit on ebay ill get a knockoff nismo badge...i like the way they look.

LOL! NO! Seriously, give this some thought... Sticking a silvia badge on a 240sx does nothing positive for it, it just gives it a fake label and lets everyone know that the owner of the vehicle is in denial. Transplanting a motor gives it better performance. With another motor you are not faking anything, unless you're calling your car a PS13 or RPS13 now, as your chassis code was given to you by Nissan, and I'll still say that I have a HS13 because thats what my car came with stock.
