I'll have to agree that Blue Moon is a very good, easy to find beer.

I had some draft Spaten, and that just was amazing. Definately my favorite beer. I go out of my way to find places with it.

Dude, its all about fat tire or

It's made by a brewery here in San Diego called Stone; they make some WONDERFUL beers.

For me, my light beer is Sam Adams Boston though; pretty tasty.

Werd for Arrogant Bastard (and Double Bastard)Stouts and Porters (Young's Double Chocolate, Sam Smith's Oatmeal, Dirty Bastard, Guinness, and Rock Bottom's Total Disorder Porter) FTWWerd for Dogfish Head (60 and 90 min IPAs and Raison D'Etre)Werd for Fat TireWerd for Belgians (Kwaak, Leffe, Karmelize, Delerium Tremens)

I just do not see the attraction with Blue Moon. If I wanted a heffeweisen I would vastly prefer a true German rather than something made by Miller.

-- I thought Coors made Blue Moon. Stuff's okay, kinda bland for what it claims to be. I know alot of ladies that drink it with an orange, my fiancee included. I think it's in my blood because I've lived within 10 miles of the brewery all my life but when it comes to the big three, it's " A-B, bay-bee." Lol.

This is absolutely true. Presidente is astoundingly good beer.

My list: (other than the above, obviously)

-Smithwick's-Belhaven Wee Heavy-Orkney Skullsplitter-Kelpie Seaweed Ale-Baltika #6 Porter (w00t Russian beer RULES)-Erie Railbender-Delerium Tremens (also Nocturnum)-Ebulum Elderberry Black Ale-Grolsch-Tsingtao-Singha-Sam Adams Draft (the normal stuff, DRAFT only)-Morland "Old Speckled Hen"-Wexford Irish Cream Ale-Rock Bottom's "Stillwater Stout" (better than Guinness IMO)-Achel Achelse Kluis Trappist Brune-La Terrible-Foggy Bottom Ale-Harar Hakim Stout (Ethiopian)-Tupper's Hop Pocket Pils-Inveralmond Lia Fail-Yebisu-Negro Modelo-Magic Hat #9-Wittekerke-Shiner Bock

So yeah....I like beer

EDIT: Funny thing is, I'm not even really a beer snob. There are precious few beers I DISLIKE per se, and they aren't the ones you'd probably guess (i.e. American Pilsners, which I tend to like just fine).

I'm not really big on IPA's, although I know that Hop Pocket is technically an IPA. Sierra Nevada, for instance, I'm not really big on.

God I love these threads!

My favorite of late has been Sleemans Original Draught. Sooo tasty .

And a new discovery last week. This one has the taste.

There are others I enjoy such as Miller Genuine Draft, Coors Light (both for summertime partys & BBQ's) and as always a local mix of half Hoegarden and half cider. I may die in peace now.

Brian, to answer your question about TurboDog and Optimator, no, they are nothing alike as far as style. They are both stronger in alcohol content, with Optimator being the stronger of the two. I max at about three liters of Optimator but Cold_Zero can put down four. Granted, when we did this, I drank my first liter on an empty stomach, which was NOT a good move. I think I could probably drink four liters right now over the course of three or four hours and be ok.

Right now I have a case of MGD in my fridge for a cheap domestic beer. I've had so many different beers in so many places I can't begin to name them all. The best of the best EVER for me was Chimay, fresh, on tap in Brussels, Belgium.

Ottakringer and a sammich:

That's pretty good beer, but I haven't found it state-side.

Easy to find beer for myself:Any of their fine beers.

Now, if I'm bringing some beer to a party:Gotta be Steel Reserve.

Not being a beer snob, I've got a fine appreciation for a cheap beer that gets the job done with minimal fuss.

Steel Reserve is best in a 40.

Nothing better than drinking some 'High Gravity' on the stoop, holla'ing at bishez as they walk by.

Not a huge fan of the 40. I mean, who the hell drinks beer to get drunk? No I. Drink a 40 leisurely, and it's lukewarm 3/4 way done.

SR is malt liquer, not beer. At a house party, it's easier to carry around a 40 than a pint, because you can socially drink a 40 and get drunk, drinking out of a pint is a much less social ordeal: More of a, swig, grimace, swig, grimace...

A 40 of SR is about 7 drinks. It should get you in a good mood. Don't drink it slow.

I don't see how you can drink SR with one hand and hate on Michelobe with the other...lol. SR is...just not a good tasting beer.

I agree with drinking 32's or 40's depending on the state, if you wanna drink to get drunk, just drink Soco or something hard. Warm beer sucks...

In most cases, yes.

Some beers are best served close to room temperature though. I like my stouts almost lukewarm.

We used to heat up cans of PBR in the oven and give them to pledges (just warm, not hot). It was pretty gross, lol.

I had Guiness at room temp in Ireland once...that was enough. I've tried it a few times throughout Europe, but I guess I'm just a puss cause I like beer cold. I don't think I've ever had a warm beer that I enjoyed...or better put, a warm beer that wouldn't have been better cold.

-- I can drink Pabst or Bud heavies warm. Not that bad, something really heavy or really light is worse IMO. Pabst is actually a very good tasting beer for it's price, I used to drink it in college when I had no chee$e.

PBR: Number one choice of underage drinkers in America.

I'm pretty sure that PBR was 90% of Americas first beer.

That's because SR is for getting drunk. Michelob is for pouring down the sink.

I certainly don't enjoy drinking SR, but if I am going to a party and I don't want to wait in line for a ****ty keg of beer that won't get me drunk, I pick up some SR and get shwasted.
