You have a car. You can drive out to the good jobs. The ones that pay more & want you to wear suits on an interview...
Oh well. I ain't your daddy. No more unsolicited advice from me. You took it in good spirits though.
Carry on.

do that if you must. I got my shock/spring setup because I knew it would be a long time before I have $1300+ to drop on a coil setup. My shock/spring setup handles well and has a decent ride hide, so that'll hold me over until I have the $$$.240sxAli4Life wrote: I may buy my friends Ksport springs on oem struts for $70 and he can help me install them... i may just do that, until i get coilovers!
Quick question to ask yourself: Have you ridden in a 240 with coils (decent or cheap)? Find someone with the ride height you're looking for and see if you can get a quick ride. It will help with your decision.240sxAli4Life wrote:Well i drove his S13 and it handles a lot better than mine. But I talked to someone today, and they told me it might be a good idea to get springs first before coils, so i can adjust from stock to (a little stiffer = springs) then coilovers. Plus if i like the way they handle i may keep them on my 240 longer than 3 or so months
+1 I bought Megan Streets thinking they rode good for coilovers (had ridden in Rock hard Cusco coils and Megan Streets)Ajax wrote:Quick question to ask yourself: Have you ridden in a 240 with coils (decent or cheap)? Myself, I bought Ksport coils and I don't like driving on them anymore. I'm planning to revert back to Sportlines and AGX which had a much better ride. I wish I had ridden in a coiled 240 before I got coils. I have different tastes than most 240 owners, so it would have been much better for me to find an example before hacking into my suspension.
Point is- do your research and don't use stopgap measures just for looks; you may end up getting a car that you don't care to drive.
