Well I dont have pics any more, but it was a 1988 Nissan B12 Sentra XE. It was a auto and it was a four door. I paid 500 bux for it and drove it for 9 months and sold it for 300 and never had to do anything but put gas in her and do oil changes. That car was the best to do e-brake turn. I used to do them all the time. When it was wet I could do 540's. Man I miss that old car.

My first was a 1988 b12 1.6L four-door Sentra. No pics, so here's the closest I can find:

With 70hp, it was awful going up hills and through mountains in Washington. But, it was ridiculously reliable and made many journeys all over the country on family vacations and trips of my own.

My parents bought it new in 1988 and I got it in 1997. It was our family's first new car.

I was rear-ended three times after getting my license. Kept on going... finally had it totalled and gave it to the insurance company. :(

Had a nice clarion system, altec lansing speakers (when they used to do car audio) and some Kraco kickers.

Also had low-profile 14" tires that helped handling quite nicely, and SHINY WAL MART HUB CAPS.

Good times. But now I've got the Q-ship. :)

first car was an '88 toyota tercel dx, it was 2 doors automatic with like 200k on it i think. hand me down from my brother who left for the navy and was sitting in the garage for about a year before i got my hands on it. after first two weeks of driving it, also within the first month of license, i got into an accident :(.

about four months down the line later it got totalled, then came in my 240sx... which is now gone... but another will be in my possession by tomorrow :). no pics because it was such a ****ty car for me haha. i wish i had pics though... memories...

the first long trip was when i drove to cabazon in it... about an hour away in the HOT SUMMER... and i started overheating and i didnt know what to do HAHA and we were climbing up the hills OMG scary *** **** !!! hahaha. but we made it through after panicing for like 15 minutes. none of us knew what to do because i was the first of my friends who drove a car :). i forgot how we got out of that situation...

my tercel was $hit... but it got me from here to there... youre brining back so many memories for me.. haha

My first car was a 1991 Eclipse GS. Boooone stock. I don't have any pictures though. I HAD some polaroids i took years ago when i had the car, but they've been lost in the void somewhere

My second car was a 1991 Tempo GL. After losing control of the DSM on black ice, I was left with this clunker for three grueling years. Here's a pic of me fixing it!

my first car: 1993 Geo Prizm Lsi automatic. (the Corolla that Toyota made for GM)It was a nice blue-green color, and had 1.6 liters of fury going up a hill. I riced it out a bit, put some fog lights on it and some 5-spoke hubcaps, i only drove that car for about 1.5 yrs before i got so frustrated and jealous of my ex-bf's new 5spd Prelude, that i sold it for it's exact blue book value of $3400. Got my s13 for $3700 from Philadelphia, March 2002 :D

The Prizm had 91k when i sold it, it was pretty much a very reliable car, got my s13 with 82k and my mom hates it, she thinks it's a lemon compared to the Prizm.

here's an ancient pic with my ex's car:

heres mine

'86 300ZX Turbo. Had exactly 130,000 miles on it when i test drove it. Took it to Michael Jordan's Nissan dealership to have it checked over. They said it was great, so i bought it for $3250 and drove it home

driving around on some back roads, being dumb, right side of the car ended up in a ditch which resulted in only a cracked sideskirt and the toe was a little off (went into work the next day and did an alignment to fix it.) got some black skirts from someone and liked the two tone.

got my hands on an 87 front end for dirt cheap from local junkyard. the parts sat in my garage for half a year until i got the money to get it painted

the end result. so sexy.

it never did handle like i wanted, even with practically brand new Yoko ES100's... too fast on a two lane on ramp, i was in the inside lane, the front tyres lost grip, it plowed right into the back left of an intrepid (like 4 months after getting it back from the body shop) The frame got tweaked (again... first time was some time around 91 and it had a bunch of parts welded on including the front right frame pieces) and it was totalled.

got ~$3500 back from the insurance company after buying it back for $100. then completely stripped it.

it was a good first car. 10psi from the stock t3 all day long with no issues. upgraded shocks, springs, sways, gutted cat, cone filter, hks ssqv, and it ended its life w/ a perfect running motor w/ 156k on the clock

i had a 76 F-150. i bought it from my great uncle for $1850. it had 126k orig. miles on it. it came two-tone, tanglow & dark brown, with a tan interior and matching hubcaps. it had a 3 spd auto and a 390 with a holly 4bbl. i got a new exhaust system put on, 2.5 inch piping and twister race mufflers with the pipes ending under the bed. when i got it, something was causing it to cut out and die. turns out it was the ignition module. replaced that and it ran like a dream, cept it got horrible gas mileage. it was a beast though. it had so much torque. the front end would twist like crazy and lift up a little when taking off. shes was a good truck and i kinda wish i didnt sell her. but i couldnt have two cars and the gas prices were going up, so i sold her and got my 240 in may 2002.

My first two cars were Caprice Classics. The first one was a red 1984 5.0L that had bad oxidation on the paint. When you washed the car, it looked brand spanking new. After it dried, it returned to its oxidized state. It was like a cameleon. The thing ran like a champ. I think I saw more racing in the back seat of this car than the front seat. Kind of morbid thinking about that since this was the family wagon for so many years!

I then moved up to a fuel injected version of the Caprice Classic with my Blue 1987 Brougham (?) This thing was indestructible! I had done the following to this car:1. This car had seen more time airborne than the 101 Airborne Division. 2. Hit an embankment at 40mph with a small piece of rubber from the bumper that fell off. No structural damage and no cosmetic damage.3. Ran the car all summer with a low radiator and broken water pump. It was replaced that September and ran like a champ!4. Every time Repoman and I changed the oil in this car we swore my father put crude oil in during the oil change. The oil was so black it sucked in light like a black hole.

As a side note, my father devised a way of channeling the A/C from the dashboard to the back seats when we went on trips. He cut strips of poster board and made tubes that were custom fit to the A/C vents. He then cut special pieces of poster board to make diffusers on the end of the tubes to diffuse the A/C coming through the tubes evenly. If you cant already figure out, my father was sick of my mother complaining that the A/C was too cold and my sisters and I complaining about the back seat being too hot. You can only imagine what truckers thought about these A/C vent tubes.

Right after Desert Storm, my uncle devised and implemented a business plan that would buy Caprice Classics in the United States, recondition them and ship them to Kuwait. The Kuwait’s loved these cars because they were big and their A/C systems were awesome. He would sell these used cars for more than they were worth when they were new! There was a story about a prominent Kuwaiti Royal family that left Kuwait for Saudi Arabia right before the war. They left with their belongings in a Mercedes, Caprice and Toyota. Both the Mercedes and Toyota broke down in the desert and the family crammed into the Caprice and out ran Iraqi jeeps on their way to freedom.

Man I love those cars!

Would romp on F Bodies on the highway and any 4 cylinder anywhere else. When I did the "TB mos" I used JB Weld to fill the holes from removing the second row of butterflies (someone reccomended this) Well, sicne I didn't tap or scuff the inside of the holes, when the engine got hot, the aluminum expanded...but the JB Weld didn't. Blew a apex seal on the front rotor. Then, I bought the S13...a year later.
