What exactly does a ca powered s13 feel like with 7psi boost? Ive gotten mine running and I am breaking in the new head at wastegate spring pressure (7psi) and it feels sluggish to me. Unfortunately I have no way of knowing if thats how it is just supposed to feel, or if its not running right. I have been running 15-18psi on this gt28 for long enough so i dont really know how fast it is supposed to be on much lower levels of boost. I cant compare it to my friends cars because they are all REALLY slow or REALLY fast. Like, stock 94 accord (auto), or a 300whp wrx, or a toyota landcruiser, or a 600whp civic hatch. I JUST DONT KNOWWWWWW!! my air fuel ratios seem to stay put around 11.5:1 when I stomp it, which should be fine for some a$s hauling, but theres the distinct possibility that im not running enough timing. Anyone have a ca18 with a s15 (or similar) turbo running the stock boost level? What does it feel like?

Side note, for your enjoyment purposes, I managed to set my car on fire the other night. My idiot self forgot to hook up the MAP sensor, causing the car to run incredibly rich, which in turn set the cat on fire. The excessive temperature of the cat caused the crud on the outside of it to ignite, pwning some wires in the transmission tunnel and sending a massive plume of smoke up into the night. No real damage, and I fixed it and drove it around the next morning, but it was kinda funny to watch. My neighbor got a real kick out of it, as he had walked over to congradulate me on finally getting it running.

My old Silvia was internally stock with a chip and a GT28. I ran it first on 7psi its was noticably faster then stock but then i cranked the boost to 10psi and 12psi solid till redline. That is when the car really woke up. The CA is ****in brutal @ 7psi. My current Silvia only spikes to 10psi but settles at 7psi around 5800-6000rpm and it is nothing to brag about.

I feel your pain i want a GT28 again.

I thought my S15 T28 sucked @ 7psi. I think the turbo is a little big for the CA at that low of a boost level. Crank it up to 18psi and have some fun with it!

when I replaced my turbo, exhaust manifold, injectors and a few other stuff, it was so slow that I couldn't even beat someone with 250whp sr20det

after tuning, my car feels night and day difference

so maybe it is the tuning for you as well?

yeah man, you dont want to ask me unless its to do with hardware. T_C_O aka the pumaking is the one to ask, no contest. without this man's help my car would probably be in a bunch of pieces in the garage. just because ive been here forever doesnt mean im a better source of information.
