I've seen topic after topic on the sleepy headlight look, and i was thinking wouldnt it be easier to get some headlight raise arms off a scrap s13 and shorten them? rather than mess around with wiring?

dude, seriously...if your going to do the sleepy eyes, just cut the brown wire...it takes a total of 1 whole minute and you can freeze them whereever you want them with a button.simple. dont go all cutting short pieces from scrap cars and such.

Because there are COOLER ways to do it.

I have a cool little box with a knob on it from Japan. I can adjust the lights to go wherever I want. Adjust the kob, it adjusts the lights.

It's nice to have little doodads in the car.

+street cred and JDM cred.

1- pull out headlight button2- cut brown wire3- e tape both ends of wire4- enjoy

for a bonus, pull the 5a fuse in the kick panel when headlights are at desired position and instant lit sleepys. there is litterally no wiring involved. just follow these steps and don't make it harder then what it is

maybe so, but none are as simple. he's worried about wiring on sleepy eyes...he doesnt need to fool around with boxes with knobs. he needs to cut a brown wire.

No, I write for myself...and maybe some people that might laugh or chuckle or just have a smile in an otherwise smile-less day.

lol

I'm also trying to show him that, wiring may be tough, but it can be done.

I REALLY do not have confidence in my wiring abilities, but I managed to hook up the Pivot controller, so there is hope.

I have a Pivot controller in my garage. I need to install it soon. Found this is the best instruction.

it might not be a lot, but when you can get the same effect for $0 its crazy. 50 bucks is more then a full tank of gas, more then admission to a local auto x, more then i spent to do all my wiring even. idk i can think of better ways to spend $50 but it is cool i suppose

So lets go back and forth for a month about it. Neither way is right or wrong. Just that one of you has put more thought into it then the other with the pivot switch. And you dont get the same effect, the pivot switch is obviously adjustable, where just cutting wires is a more permanent postion for the lights.

Actually, no, you can adjust lights by double clicking it. It's just more steps to go through.

After listening to people argue for the 2 days that i was away, i tried what seemed like the simplest yet most functional way of all of them, all i did was flipped the lights on, (lights come up) hit the toggle switch to make them stay up and turn the lights off (lights stay up) i then pulled the 5a fuse and put it in just far enough to work, but so i could yank it without trouble, i hit the toggle switch and at the right time i pulled the fuse, this was the result:

Yes, it can be done by shortening the arm on the motor. Do the brown wire trick...trust me on this one.

yeah it is more steps, but i don't mind. i'm not saying the pivot box is bad. on the contrary, it seems pretty nice, but the price tag just kills it for me
