That looks really halfassed in there. no offense intended but your car looks great on the outside but that rammed in there looks drunky.

I think it looks pretty neat. Took a lot of Dremel work to cut that thing to fit the Pivot controller a lot.

Most people don't even notice that it is there until I tell them.

Neato, I am definitely getting this.

Found the instructions translated to English.http://www.3sx.com/installs/po...u.pdf

Just curious, I have a couple for those of you with the controller.

A. Since it only goes to 80%, how do you get the headlights all the way up? Do you just tap the brights, as with the brown wire method?

B. Does the pilot controller let you have the headlights on while in 'sleepy' mode, or do you still need to pull the headlight fuse for that?

SIR,

The headlights WONT go in in the sleepy mode. (this is my BUMMER feeling).

and A.let's say the headlights are down, right?ok cool man, now you set that knob to 20% for example.Hit that headlight button and they will go ALL The way up. Hit it again to bring them back and they will be all sleepy.

a. you just turn the lights on. it controls how far down they go when u turn them off.

b. im not sure, i think ive seen it done but you have to wire it differently

I've found something cool, so wanted to share. I think this looks better than above setups.

This is O/D indicator which I don't need anymore. I disassembled it and it looks like this. Don't break it. It's not a cheap part. $90 new from dealership and I think it's no longer available.

This housing is what I need.

I also disassembled Pivot controller.

Fixed the internal like this with double sided tape in the back of the housing and assembled the controller. The nut was big enough to cover the hole.

This is Min which is 0%.

This is Max which is 80%.

I thought about using a blank plug, but it's going to be too much hassle to remove all this crap behind it.

Looks very OEM style, but now you have lost the allure of the PIVOT box with the markings.

minus points on the streets.

:/

I'm going to install this super rare 180sx OEM fog light switch right next to it, so I'm good.

Installed and I love it!I followed this instruction and everything went fine. Headlight Timer Unit is right behind driver's side kick panel. It's a small black box with a plug with 10 wires. It's right above white box which is TCU.

Installed switch and looks like this. I had one issue though. Driver's side headlight was about half an inch higher than passenger side when lowered, so I had to adjust the length of arm, but it was fairly easy. It wasn't noticeable they are all the way up, but it was when they were lowered. Anyway, I'm very happy with the result. I know it's expensive, but I highly recommend this Pivot controller.
