I won't hate on honda owners... I'll help them out but won't ever own one! Yea I have the infamous one wheel peel goin on with my open diff... Maybe one of these day's i'll throw a HLSD in mine and be alright... I had a guy call me this morning asking me if i'd sell it... I was like WTF where were you about 6 months ago before I sunk a lot of money into it? I can't wait till tomorrow tho my head will be done and My cometic HG will be in so I can start to throw my motor back together. But for now I'm searching near and far for the dohc s13 engine harness and cluster.... Won't be able to do jack without those...

Hey its all good I'm kinda glad I don't have to mess with the z anymore I love my 240 ten times more than how crappy that thing was. I ended up getting more than my money's worth out of it and thats how I was able to get my swap. So its all good. Yea I've still got the kit but I think I'm going to throw it on my friends car if I buy it... That way i can beat the hell out of it.........

Ok well I've gotten quite a lot done here lately I figured I'd give an update of the new motor's progress.... Look how nice and shiny that bish is.

I've still got to finish putting the cam's in and painting the valve cover but for the most part its looking pretty good. I just ordered my nismo motor mounts and found a wiring harness, dohc throttle cable and power steering lines for it. So I give it another 2-3 weeks and I'll have it in the car running... I have this friday and sat off. So I'll be able to pull out my sohc and start swapping parts around....

As for the latest on my friend's honda project we got it running, painted and its now legal. So we'll be riding around in it till I get my 240 done. Here's some more pics of it in progress I don't have any more pics of how it looks now finished. I'll prob go see it again fri and take some pictures.

Sorry for the crappy cell phone pics my camera is missing... I'd have more in depth pictures if I could find it. I think my sister took off with it again

this is not a car enthusiast forum. it is clearly Nico club.

Nissan Infiniti Car Owners club.

Hey now... No bickering in this thread... I know its NICO but This thread is titled "Yet another Build thread and more...." Meaning It may include anything I'm working on. Which includes the crx. It has taught me quite a bit about honda's and some more reason's not to ever own one. lol

As far as the valve cover gasket... Thats the old gasket I've got a new one so I left it on there so it wouldn't get stuck to the ground while painting it.

good call on the old gasket then, i suppose.

i hung mine up with a coathanger or something and painted it in the air and left it to dry. i need to re-do it though with better paint.

dual cam swaps are easy as sin, and i see you did some of the stuff ive done to mine. except now im getting forged bottom end for boostage.

Well I haven't bolted the head down yet... And i just got a raise at work.... So I'm thinking about holding off for a couple weeks and just buying forged piston's and rods while I have it torn this far down.... But Idk. It just depends on how much i'll be bringin home. I'm pretty pi$$ed at my boss tho. I asked for the 4th of july weekend off 2 weeks ago and he said fine no prob. Well come to find out I wasn't scheduled Thursday Friday Saturday or Sunday BUT........ The ba$tard$ had manditory overtime and one guy has a messed up back and won't be in all week. So needless to say We're short staffed behind on everything and on top of that the only day I'm "suppose" to have off now is Saturday but I'm sure they are going to make me come in. Then next week they have me down for 56 hrs and only off on tues.... I hate my job But the only good thing is my check will be decent and I'll be able to buy my turbo parts sooner.... Well I'm off to bed I'll update later this week when I get a chance I guess....

Ok well i guess its time for another update.... I'm moving right along with my swap... I managed to get my sohc motor and transmission out between yesterday and today... Now I have both motors sitting in my nice air conditioned room to work on them. Got some other pretty cool news... My honda friend mike is trading of his old honda integra for a 240 in the next day or so. There was pretty much nothing left of the teg once we pulled the b16 out and put in the crx and the 240 he's trading for has a blown sohc ka. So since I just pulled my motor out he's gonna buy it off me and throw it in and have next to nothing in it.

As for whats up with my car...

I just want to say I have the coolest wagon ever! And for those of you wondering... This is the redneck way of moving a motor around! Look at that camber....

I pulled the motor and transmission out together and my hands were covered in grease so I didn't bother getting my camera dirty... So I don't have many pictures of that.... But I pulled the transmission off the motor once I got it out b/c I was going to use my clutch and flywheel of the sohc and throw it on my dohc. Well.... The flywheel looked like pis$. So I took it down to the machine shop to have them resurface it. I'm just going to order a new clutch and pressure plate but I haven't decided which one to order.

As for the motor... I got my manifold in the other day. Since I need a car to drive pretty soon I'm not going to boost my motor till this winter so I have it ready by early spring or something like it.... But for now I went ahead and bought a nice shiny e-bay mani. Didn't fit at first but my drill took care of that with ease... And now it is a perfect fit. I'll have to show the port job they did on it.... Kinda sucks but its only temp so I don't care.

Well thats a bit of today's events....

Lol good thing all those people hated on this project. It really does make me laugh to see people that close minded. You said you werent done and you followed though. Makes all those people that knew everything about your plans at the begining of the thread look a little silly. Good job on following up with you plans and props on doing it while in school.

Yea it puts a smile on my face when I go back and read what some ppl said about how hideous it looked... And well......... Now look at it And I'm still not done yet! Can't wait a couple more months you guy's are gonna shrit when I'm done with it!I've found that you can put a usb drive in the dohc ecu (bikirom) and run it to a "laptop" for fine tuning... Well I've been building a pc just for my car that I'm gonna bolt in the hatch and use it to run my diagnosis on. It's coming along nicely... I'm still looking for a touch screen monitor for the dash and either a mouse touch pad or something of the sort to use instead of beating the cr@p out of a monitor. I've got a 200Gb external firewire drive that I have all my music and video's/movies on. So I'm going to make a docking station in the arm rest for it while still having the tower in the hatch I've always wanted to integrate a whole pc into a car and just haven't done it yet... So I think I'm gonna attempt it in my s13.

It's gonna be quite a system then I just found some more audio equipment to go in it. The sound card I'm looking at has 2 RCA output jacks on it And from that I'm going to run 2 separate amplifiers. One will be for my 6x9's in the hatch and my 4 1/2" in the doors and it's not going to be ridiculous I'm thinking of only going with a 4-500 watt amp for those. The other amp I already have is a 1000 Watt sony amp and 2 10" audiobahn's I'm trying to sell the subwoofers and buy my friend's set of 12" audiobahn's. So we'll see how this all pans out. Might be some time before I have everything setup and working right but thats my goal for now

As for me bing in school... well I'm thinking about transferring to an automotive tech school near me I'm getting sick of the computer buiz for right now.... I've already got a 2 year degree from a tech school for that

So my honda friend Mike traded off what was left of the integra for my friend doug's 240 last night. It needs a motor b/c the bottom end is messed up in it. So since I literally just pulled my running motor out he's going to swap heads and have a perfect running 240. I think right now he has like $50 in the car he got the integra for the motor that was in it and put it in his crx. So he considers the car a freebie.

I've got today off and I'm going to go to my sisters house to try and get my camera back. If that happens I'll take tonz of pictures of the things I haven't shown you guys.... but for right now I'm going to go play call of duty 4 online and then sleep for a couple hours. L8ter

Thanks.... I have COD4 on my computer and i'm on the nico x-fire list if anyone else has it...

Another update....

I got really bored the other day and went to wally world to pick up some engine degreaser and some black spray-paint... So here's what I did....

It looks ten time's cleaner than it did before and I was able to investigate my power steering parts....

I'm waiting on one of the guy's here on nico to send me all the parts i need to swap my motor in. I guess his g-ma just passed away and hasn't had time to ship parts out so i'm playing the waiting game... Which means more COD4 lol

I also found another picture of when I was pulling the motor out....

And Here's some pictures of how my brakes turned out... I don't think I have these on here yet...

And now for my burnout pictures.... Me and some friend's decided that my motor needed one last burnout before it got yanked out.... So here's pictures of that....

my car's in there somewhere.... And yes the cops did show up....

there it is!

my pile of rubber...
