cmoody2006 wrote:Well tiny update.... I got the rear bumper on the car and fixed some wiring issues... I blew both headlights in that accident so I replaced those today. I also couldn't figure out why my white face gauge cluster background wasn't lighting up... So I tore into the dash and pulled out the cluster... Since it's out I'm going to replace the speed needle since it keeps getting stuck on something around 45-55mph. But for now i'm just waiting for monday to come so I can go buy more parts with my paycheck.... YAY.... lol The only thing that sucks is that I have to work all day tomorrow from 9am to 2 or 3 in the morning at 2 separate jobs.... I hate not being able to afford what I want right now... It sucks but w/e I'll have all my parts before 2 much longer. I can't decide what to get first.... Kouki tails, or a chuki bumper and Safc 2. I found a full set of kouki tails for $500 shipped and still haven't found a chuki bumper. I also found a Apexi Neo for $280 So I'm debating on what I want to go with first. Or if I should just buy a dohc ka motor and Swap my block to dual cam... I can get everything I need for about $2-300 and thats a whole motor minus 1 rod through the side of the block and it doesn't have the s13 wiring harness nor ecu... The head is still good and so are the timing components. So help me out here...
Yeah I hear you... I VERY SLOWLY get parts for my car... Try having a family and a low $/hr paying job and wanting WAY more than you can afford... Yep! That's me! On another note... I got my exhaust put on today and have some videos of it! You should check it out

Well keep your eyes and ears open.... I found a full set of type x stuff rear valance and everything for around $200 Is that a decent price???? I have enough money saved up now to get her painted once I get all the body panels I want... I just got a message from an old friend who wanted my 300zx and he got a 240sx with the chuki front bumper but he can't get the title for it for some reason. I don't know the details but I might end up trading him my z32 for it and part it out.... Pulling the parts I need off of it and getting rid of the frame at the scrap yard... Who know's I'll prolly post it on here if i get it...

Yea there are ways around it... But If I absolutely can't get the title I'll just part it out. If I get it with a title I'll prolly swap some parts around and use it as my daily driver while I turn my current one into my pure racecar.

He might be able to get the title and he's being a D!#* head about it... He said if he can't get the title he'll trade me but if he can get it he wants to keep it... So... the status with the title is he bought it off this guy and the guy signed the wrong name or something like that but he got ahold of the guy and might be able to get the title transferred to his name. So I guess we'll see how this pan's out... If all else fails I'll just throw more money in his face I think that will work...

Oh and he said the interior is black and is almost perfect

No I haven't gotten a turbo manifold for the sohc yet... But I do know where to get them. They are quite expensive and I've been trying to work a bunch of hrs at my new job to save up some money for parts. I have been sick for the past 4 days. So not much is going on. I've worked out some deals with a couple other 240's and I'll soon have a silver/tanish looking 240 I'll be parting out thats auto. It just needs a head gasket and its got the dohc ka in it. But its auto... So I don't know If I'm going to pull that motor out and drop it in mine after rebuilding it or what yet. I am also trading off my 300zx for another 240. So here in a couple week's I'll have even more parts to work with... Both of the other 240's have chuki front bumpers So whichever one I part out I'll be pulling the fenders and front bumper off and putting them on my current car. While I use the other for a DD. My friend doug wants the dohc motor out of the tan one. So I think I'll just go in halves with him on it and pull the parts I need and let him keep the car. The 240 that I'm trading my 300 for has new stance gr+ pro coilovers on it all the way around.

Well I'm off 2 bed I'm not feeling good been sick the past 4 days now... Stupid swollen tonsil's

No its gone for good.... I picked up a dohc Ka I'll be swapping it in in a couple of weeks once I source a wiring harness and some power steering lines for it. I've got an ecu and basically everything else. Does anyone know if you can use a sohc flywheel and clutch with the dohc motor? I think they are the same but I don't want to go tearing into stuff if its not going to work....

Thanks I told you don't knock it till I'm done with it.... Every car eventually has a hideous state before it looks good again. Plus I have a long list of things I'm waiting for in the mail.... My radiator should be in today and I'll have pictures of that along with full pictures of my 5 lug swap and my 300zx brake upgrade. I should have my new motor torn apart and I'll be ordering parts for it hehe... I'm on the lookout for turbo parts now. I sold the t25 to my friend with a honda and I'm looking into a garret t3/t4 hybrid turbo for my dual cam ka. I found a wiring harness for it and I can get it for pretty cheap shipped since The guy that has it also has the radiator I just bought. So he's gonna hook me up hopefully. I'd like to get new fender's for her but I think I'm going to hold off on those until I get the new motor dropped in and working right. I'm also debating on building the motor for some serious boost while its out of the car or dropping it in and running it the way it is till I save up some more money. I could have it on the road sooner if I drop it in the way it is but I won't be happy until I have a snail under the hood to eat honda's with... So I could use some advice on that matter. But other than that she's been sitting while I sleep and work and sleep some more.... I've found that when your single your car becomes your g/f and you want to spend all the money you make on it and make it into everything you've wanted it to be. And at the end of the day after you drop a grand on parts you feel pretty good knowing the chuki monster is just outside your door!

Now for some pictures of my dual cam....

Ok well I guess its time for an update.... I've had quite a lot going on the past couple weeks... I got my ka24de tore apart and ordered a bunch of parts for it. I was thinking of going with forged internals but for right now I think I'm going to just stick with the stock piston's and rod's and only run about 10lbs of boost... I'll prob just run this setup for a couple months till I order all my forged internals... But I need my car running asap. My truck is about to bite the dust... I got my new radiator in and i have it installed. I got my walbro fuel pump in but I haven't had the time to put it in... I had the passenger side window motor go out so i'm waiting on that... I don't have a lot of things done yet but its getting there.... So now for some pictures

I've been helping my friend with his honda crx....

He sprayed the primer while I sat back and waited for it to dry so we could start sanding.... I haven't made it out to get a new pic of how it looks now... but this is my small update for now.... Just a bit of what I've been doing between work and sleep

Well I got my alignment and now I'm just waiting to find a dohc wiring harness and waiting on the slow arse machine shop to finish up my head... But in the mean time.... I got bored today and had some friends over egg'n me on to do some burnouts on my old motor.... Unfortunately my front brakes need bled again so they didn't lock up like I wanted them to... But here's a video of her and how ****ty/sick she sounds. It's horrible till the wheels start spinning... Knock's really bad but w/e She turns tires still....

haha i think my car has trouble power braking cause it has to much power as soon as the wheels break loos it zooms towards readline like crazy. its partially me nt doing it right cause of the clutch but it is also the rev happy motor lol. my new slave cylinder and HLSD should make it easier though.
