yep i still got you on that intercooler kit buddy. email me sometime, you'll have to send me some pics of how you would want it. what bov flange you need. yadda yadda. so i can get an estimate. the intercoolers and exhaust are going to be a decent price for what they are but when you say valve covers, thats a lot of work, a lot of time, and not so cheap but im working on it. we have a machinist that a buddy of mine goes to, see if he cant make sort of like a flange, basically the ridge that the valve cover seal sits in, that way all i have to do is weld some sheet aluminum to that to build them, i can do aluminum AN bungs for some stainless hose. i am definately doing aluminum catch cans also. probably do it so that you can run dual catch cans or just one larger one. im also thinking about selling my CA setup and going with something bigger.

you obviously have not read my past posts here, thats not the kind of SHOWOFF valve covers i'm looking for. They look like something you'd find in a computer. I just want something easy, and basic to replace my stock, beat up and gouged covers. those valve covers look like crap anyway. Im NO show all go... sorry

takes the look of the CA away. they would also be expensive as **** because they are all machined. as long i can keep the stock valve cover gasket im happy. i have to talk to my machinist and see what my options are. keep the ideas coming though.

[GASP] CA18det> sr, kat, ls1, rb26, any other motor on the planet...... just kidding

how much do you think a catback would be, kinda like Dart Iaumi style?

dont get me wrong, i love the CA. it takes abuse. but i want to get into more motors, different cars, more experience. we can build rb30s for a fair price so me and my boss might experiment with that. amke some money in the process. beside i want more power, i would love to say i squeezed 600hp out of a 1.8l 4cyl. but i want to go bigger, later. right now im just saving my money. hopefully by next spring we'll be build "twin" rb30s, mine getting a t51r spl. not sure what he's doing..

Dart Izumi style exhaust? probably 450 for aluminized. maybe 400, havent made one yet. aluminized is nice though, its cheap, does the same thing, i can get them already made. basically make a prototype, dyno test it, send it to our guy who digitizes it and make send us copies whenever we need. so ordering time is quick, easy one me, and its a good deal. think, the 1.8t exhaust i posted earlier. the less cats, resonators, etc, the cheaper. so as you can imagine a straight through pipe with minimal bends a flange and a simple tip, you could find yourself a nice, cheap exhaust. even 450 for a brand new exhaust that makes power, and does the same thing as the realy thing, its not a bad deal.

ch187 wrote:well coming from a couple of guys that install full 6pt roll cages for less than $800. you can come to our shop and ask for a welded diff. we do them for 200 installed prices will definately be fair. fuel rails will be under 100 promise. right now i think im going to start off with intercooler kits because im doing one for myself. i'll take pics, dyno charts etc.. im doing mine with a tial 50mil bov. we shall see how it turns out. anyone else interested in one?
For sure I'm interested in an IC.... I would pay like $250 for one with a greddy rs bov flange!! Also for the coil cover something that maybe said CA18DET would be sweet and/or your shop name... and congrats on the shop, I hope it goes well!!

thanks man but 250 is an insult. the core itself would cost ME more than that. now if you want a fully polished tig welded stainless hotpipe or coldpipe i could hook you up. this isnt no ebay deal there bud.

Yeah and that intake pipe would be awesome, my rubber one is so soft I had to put a piece of exhaust pipe in it to keep it from sucking shut I would be willing to pay up to something like $100 or more for it w/stock MAF!

you need to make a solid top-mount manifold for these guys

i think the manifold style im using will be "universal" between top and bottom mount. just flip the flange. so bottom mount manifolds will be equal length also. i have to mess with it but the original plan was to do top mount twin scroll t4 but i think im going with a completely different motor.

We need something like this with a CA flange....and not costing $1,300.

I'm dying to see a CA dyno sheet with a twin scroll mani and 3071R turbo.

I wish I could but I'm away at school and my car is in storage, but if you can wait until about Thanksgiving or so I can go home and measure it up for you?? And one more thing how long will it take do you think before you actually start making stuff?? Just curious because I was hoping to get everything on and going (i.e. IC piping and intake pipe) by next summer??! Any ideas on the coilpack cover yet either??

the best manifold would be a solid top mount log manifold :-) cause honestly.. who has the money to buy an equal length one or let alone even see a real benefit from it?

alright thehturbo 2 exhaust im not really happy with though. i might tear it down and redo it for the hell of it.

took the aluminum bumper support and cut away for the core. polished the ends up and welded it to the core becaues it had no mounts on it. note: all the welds are satisfactory to me. not the best, it was late, i was tired, and it was my birthday, i just wanted to get out of there. haha. rushed it a little. i also had to bring the TIG over to the car so instead of welding the pipes on my steel table i welded them on a bucket. my back was killing me. the guy needed it for a show the next day so we had no choice. i'll get some finally pics with the bumper on and complete tonight when he comes in.

i think im gonna end up sandblasting all the factory powdercoating off my stockers and just clearcoating them so they are aluminum... i dont really have time to wait and im not after show, im after go, i dont want to use my plug cover either anyway... no care for them, they just trap heat, aka the ENEMY!
