It was a hit and run. I parked my car for like a half hour to shop, and when I get back... BAM! My car has more texture now.

I pisses me off so much that they didn't even bother to leave a note saying sorry.

It also looks like they did it backing out, since the door isn't dented, just kinda has paint on it.

Thanks for the condolances guys(sp?), I'm beginning to think my car is cursed... crappy gas mileage, burns more oil than gas, the rocker panel incident, now this. I love her to death, but damn.

BTW, lessthanjohnjake, if you're overprogramming the filters, or using a code to get by them, that's one of the reasons k-car got banned. Just a heads up.

oh and that sucks man.. someone hit my car also, i went into subway for 5 mins, when i come out my front pannle was all bent in.. gah i was so mad.. i stoped a cop and all she said is "there is nothing i can do, i dont have time for this" and drove off.. gawd damn basturds, and thats why i hate cops and have no respect for them, i have needed them at times and they never help me..

Doug, Sorry to hear about your hit and run. It always sucks to be on the receiving end. I hope that the person that did this gets caught or their luck runs out next time.

MM - What did you want them to do for you? Conduct a "hard-target search of every vehicle within a ten-mile radius"?

Perhaps you coulda got CSI Miami on the trail - They could do a photospectometer analysis of the composition of the paint and wax transfer and measure the height of the impact at the current ambient temperature and pavement angle until they narrowed it down to the EXACT vehicle that hit your 240.

Then they could blow it off since the incident occurred on private property.

Maybe I missed something, but how do you know an SUV did that? If it was a hit and run, and you came out and just saw it, how are you sure it was an SUV? Was an SUV parked next to you when you left the car? Even if that is the case, it's perfectly possible they left and someone else did it after the fact. Maybe I totally missed it though.......
