On my 2000 it is one piece with the bumper cover.

In a parking lot.

But how would it perform when used as it's designers intended? Better or worse than stock? Doorstop or performer?

i think it will perform just fine.all i do is normal driving in the q anyway.overall diameter is very close with 245/35/19 and tein springs are barely stiffer.ride will firm up some but not be obnoxious.i dont forsee any rubbing issues either.may need a mild roll of the rear fender lip. no biggy.what are you getting at? haha

i was bummed to find out that i will need a new bumper cover. its actually not that noticeable so i will try and search for a black used bumper for a little while before buying new.

Those wheels look really nice on there.

My 98 came stock with 215 60 16's with a diameter of 26.15 in.I first put on 245 40 18's on 18 by 8's = 25.71 in. but with stock suspension I could put a shoe box inbetween my tire and the outside of my wheel well. I bumped up to a 245 45 18 the last time and they fit with a diameter of 26.68 in.

FYI 245 35 19's are 25.75 in and 245 45 19's are 26.71 in. diameter which is only .035 in. diameter larger than what Im running now which I really like. Any way, decide for yourself, and if you want to check you own tire diameters I just did a search on tire diameter calculator.

Hi Again:

If you REALLY want to be thrifty, you can go to Radio Shack and purchase a replacement set of bulbs for teh HVAC repair. They come 2 in a pack and all you have to do is "unthread" the existing bulb from the plastic socket, sort of like replacing those mini Xmas string lights. Rethread it the same way and clip off the excess wiring. ** Don't forget to put the blue rubber jacket in the bulb so they all look the same.

The part number for the bulbs would be PN 272-1092 the last time I looked, but all you have to do is bring in your bulb and they should be able to match it up fine. It costs about $1.60 for two bulbs in case you have more than one burned out.

Hope that helps with your new Q budget.

That black piece comes as part of the bumper. My dad backed into a pallett and ripped open the rear part of that. I took it to a body shop and they wanted to replace the entire thing, which was alot of $$$. I than took it to my local guy and he was able to remove the bumper and do a repair. He charged me $275 and that is in the Bay Area where stuff cost the most. I think you can probably find a shop that knows how to repair the plastic, the piece is part of the entire bumper cover so no way you want to foot the bill for a whole new one...that will end up closer to 1k.

the bulb question wasnt a budget issue, lolhttp://superbrightleds.com/bulb_cross.htmi wanted to see if they had a bulb i could use there. i think it would have an oem apperance only better with the right LED.i was just curious is all. prolly go oem in the end anyway.i'm annoyed in general with trying to cross reference bulb part numbers between different manufactureres/countries.as for the bumper- it's not wrecked enough for me to want to spend the money on a new one. painting a new one would never match the 11 year old paint anyway. (which is not in bad shape)if i could find a used bumper i would cut the tiny part i'm missing out and fix my bumper with it.i'm not even too worried about it really, i still have to take care of the maintenance stuff first.

less hate 08- be nice guys.

They can just repair the black part without repainting the entire bumper, that is what they did to my rear bumper. Not painted, but they fuse the plastic somehow, not pricey and you cannot tell the difference.

Find a good body shop in your area and talk to them...replacing the entire bumper is too expensive for how much the car is worth, there has to be a workaround.
