Recently got a NISSAN GLORIA 1998 Y33, and was wondering what oil type would you guys recommend, located in Florida so probably should keep that in mind, and was also wondering how many quarts goes into the engine?

That model was never exported to the States when new, so info is a bit hard to come by.

There was someone else awhile back asking questions y33-gloria-t522884.html

Do you know which VQ engine is in your car? Any additional info you could provide would be helpful in getting the best answers.

:welcome: to NICO! For capacity, I would look under the hood to see if there's a sticker that says a capacity. Otherwise, I'd see where you are on the dipstick before you drain the oil, measure what comes out, and adjust in small increments accordingly.

Oil viscosity is such a controversial topic in the car world, and everyone has their own opinion about it. After reading all of the the Motor Oil University articles over at www.bobistheoilguy.com/motor-oil-101/ I started using Mobil 1 0W-30 in everything except our newer stuff that specifies 0W-20. From my understanding, 0W oils just behave more like a warmed up 5W or 10W oil for a wider temperature range, and that's what you want anyway. The only reason 0W oils weren't recommended by Nissan in the 90's, was that they didn't exist.
