hello im not sure if this is the right model in usa
i live in new zealand so please forgive

i have the gloria model with the touch screen tv/ac unit and i want to remove it as there is no point having this as it is only usefull for heater control and nothing else.

i want to swap it over with another model
possible a leopard or cedric
it seem the computer unit in the boot controlls the aircon and that could be a probelm in the swap as i dont think the other models use such a control
cant seem to find any wiring diagrams for my model that would help me work out how to control it

any help in this probelm would be super duper

What year is this car? The Cima Y33 was inported to the USA as the new Q45 in 1997 replacing the outgoing Q45 model, so that is a V8 car that never had anything like a TV unit. In 2000 and 2001 they did a navigation package but it was DVD based and was of course circa 2000 designs. That was the end of the Y33 in USA when it was replaced by the F50 V8 Q45 and the Y34 M45....so not sure what the Gloria is/was, but a year might be a good start.

very similar to the y33 cedric/leopard
has the vq25de engine though
most of the similar models came out with vq engines not the v8 though im not sure if it is the same
the main problem is the fact that the air flap motors are three wire and im not sure how they are activated as i cant find a wiring diagram the s how the 3 wire setup

I have no clue what the US equivalent would be, that model never made it here.

I don't think you'll have much luck here in the Q forum. There is a member, Koshin, on this forum that has a Y32 gloria so he might be a bit more familiar than us... LIke the others said, we only got the Y33 chassis in 1997 which was basically the Cima, not the Gloria even though they are similar.

Just so I am clear, the touch screen device has the HVAC controls, and you want to ditch the touch screen and go to either a manual or automatic HVAC control from something else..

My experience with Nissan would say that not a whole lot is different from other models that have it.. in other words, if you could find a same year car with the kind of controls you want, I bet it would be an easy swap.

yer just wondering if anyone had a wiring diagram for their heater control with flap motors that have 3 wire motors and then i think i can work something out from there

Download the FGY33 manual and look for similarities.There might be none as FGY33 was upmarket from Y33

I know this is an old topic, but i am on dead-end.

I have bought JDM y33 CEDRIC with VQ30DET.
It has TV/NAVI/RADIO screen which doesn´t work. Biggest issue is that heater controls are not working.

I have bought Q45 simplier heater control unit and control panel.
I also found Q45 wiring diagram, but no wiring diagrams for existing cedric wiring. I believe existing heater door motors and sensors will work with q45 unit, but i have no idea which wires goes to sensors and doors. Can anyone help me with this? Picture behind of q45 heater control panel will help me also. Colors of the wires could help me.
