Thinking about buying this:http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...photo

Anyone who's had some experience with XTD clutches want to advise me whether they are good or not?

Putting onto a turbo KA-t that should require about 225 ft-lbs of grip. All street use.

Had an ACT clutch and pressure plate that was supposed to be good to 300 ft-lbs and it threw a spring.

Please respond ASAP, need to get my car on the road again! Thanks

I had a stage 2 XTD on my KA-T. The stage two is okay. I had one in at the time, but it started to slip at the point where I was bitin at my friends 350z's ***. Personally, I would get a stage 3. I have one on my RB20 currently and it has been biting well since mile 1. I figure if it doesnt work from mile 1 to mile 1500 then its junk. but thats me. Dont follow me.

Just make sure the flywheel is resurfaced with a step, the clutch is perfectly straight on the flywheel, and the pressureplate is torqued down evenly. Also, dont skip on the throw out bearing, and pedal adjustment.

I wouldn't run one if you gave it to me, or give it to an enemy of mine.

Invest in a real quality clutch the first time, and be happy. Replacing cluthes is a long lame process....

Not in my car personally, but I know of 2 guys, one s13 and one s14, both ka turbo cars, who went through 3 collectivly ( forget who had two of them) and all had them fail within 2 oil changes. Two had the disc itself fail, and the other had a problem with the pressure plate.

Sorry, I guess I'd rather not skimp out on some ebay clutch.

I got a stage 3, I wish it had a firmer feel. It works fine, and has not been slipping since I adjusted my pedal. Im still in the break in period so I should really baby it, and not get on boost. I think it was worth the money, and has been in the car almost 5 months.....yes basically I have only drivin my car about 100miles a month. I dont drive it in rain or snow. There should be more posts like this, try the search button. Just a heads up, everyone will be having different opinions on it since it is a "ebay" item.
