Hello,

Noticed tonight that one of my headlights is out. Where can I get replacement or upgrade bulbs? Is it an easy, straightforward job?
Owners manual say's "take it to the dealer'. I am relatively mechanically inclined, and would like to do it myself.

Is there a write up for this somewhere? Or is it easier to take it to Nissan? Anybody know how much they charge?

Thanks,
Steve

Hey Steve,

I'm honestly not sure about the process with HIDs. Hopefully someone else here has had experience with this. I will ask around for you.

Pretty amazing that nobody has had to do this. I did find this write-up, which I believe would suffice: how-to-install-hid-s-through-the-wheel- ... 93744.html

I may try to do it myself, haven't decided yet.

Anyway, my mechanic is going to charge me $70 to install it, because of the labor involved. Found the bulb on Amazon for $50. Which is all together is a lot cheaper than what the dealer wanted. They could not give me a price over the phone without giving them the VIN, which I didn't have handy. They did give me a range, $290-890...... :rotfl :rotfl

Yeah it's an easy swap once you get the bumper on the floor. I have done it through the wheel well also and it actually took longer than just dropping the bumper (tight space to work through).
Drop the bumper for the first time and you will do it in 5 minutes or less every time thereafter.

Do yourself a big favor and replace both xenon bulbs so that they will have the same burn temperature/color. :)
