This is my first self funded car too...and I don't think I can ever abandon it, unless it craps out on me *knocks on wood*

(I just thought this was funny. No relevance to the situation )

I beg to differ, since Ricky has been debating his GTR needs for quite awhile now.

I plan to keep this car for as long as it will drive and soon start working on the Datsun sitting in my uncles driveway. When I do decide to go out and buy my own car although I would like to keep it Nissan, it would probably end up being a M3. I have always loved the M3's I just don't like BMW's menu screen for all their options.

Well I'm sorry about your misfortunes, I hope you are happy with whatever decision you make. Whether it be keeping the AC or getting a truck (Prerunners are nice )

Crash-inducing speeds, that's what's happening to the A/c's out there. Once you get a crash, you stop over-estimating a car's road-holding abilities. The 2.5 S was probably the best I've ever driven. I'm used to sub-two liter displacements back in Taiwan. Crazy stoked about what a 3.5 is capable of!

You're not serious are you dude?

Hey bruh, I leave for Baltimore in February, so if you get the GT-R by then, we have to take a cruise... we need to meet up again anyway for a shooting range rematch... I haven';t been to the range in a while, so maybe you'll have a better chance this time.. (CHALLENGE)

I'll take you up on that CHALLENGE bruh. I spoke to Tim yesterday and he said 2 more weeks because he's just waiting on some parts. The damn slow shipping from companies is what's slowing him down. Tim's an honest dude and I know he's not BSin me with it. SIHT for the money I'm spending on the work he is trying to get the car outta there . He said it's been on top of a car rack since it's been there 2 months going on to 3. I'll give you a call before I head out to SD to set something up mah dude .

I agree, you will never forget your first self funded car. I got mine 10 days after I turned 18 back in jan. 08. I'm 19 now and my car has 11,067 miles. I think thats pretty low considering my car will be two years old in Jan.

I can see myself driving this car till it goes way past 100k. I mean crap, I don't even redline it. I admit I drive like a grandma most of the time, but I know it has to last me a long time so I really wanna take care of it.

i got my coupe 2 weeks after it came out, june 9th 2007. So I've had it for more than 2 years now. I recently decided to buy out my lease simply because I'm in love with the car.

Although, ever since the mod bug bit me and my interest in cars grew, I've been regretting not having a v6, rwd coupe. I can't be happy when I see a Hyundai genesis v4 model with some crazy sport package (brembo bbk and all) going for the same price I got my coupe for with a "convenience" package. I'll give my coupe another 2 or so years and then I'll get something new.

in my case, I've pushed the altima to the limit (without going super custom) handling wise.

Its the best thing to happen to me car wise ever. great engine, great looks, great practicality, safe fwd understeer.

but now that i'm getting older, I just need to pack MORE things in the car, I want MORE grip, I want a dual personality car. great on the track and great as a daily driver.

pros of a stock full equip 3.5se altima coupe:powerful and torquey VQ engine, luxurious ride when full equip with the leather, winter capable coupe with VehiculeDynamicControl and TractionControlSystem, carry 5 (!!) people in sexy style (5'9" in the back max), keyless, autoheadlights (never touch it again), quiet, safe ride (5 stars crash rating), LATCH system for babyseats in the back. GREAT center console layout and easy to use controls. Auto DUAL climate control. GREAT aftermarket support considering the limited worldwide availability of the car. 60/40 rear seats that fold FLAT. GREAT MPGs (I get 30hwy 22city). AUX input for music.

cons: small trunk, stock ride isn't as sporty as i'd like, 4x4 look, tendency to understear when pushed to the limit, uncommunicative steering at low speeds , boring CVT ride, long throws on the manual transmission and clunky feeling on the shifter with the too light shift knob. Nearly 300hp without a limited slip diff. fit and finish isn't perfect, there are some rattles here and there. small wind noise at high speed. Brittle and cheap paintjob. Nissan's LOCKED packages.

the altima is great but too limited for what I have in plan in the future and thats moslty why i might upgrade in two years time.

still not going anywhere anytime soon lol

I been looking into getting a 370 for a while now. Just had a few things holding me up. Not sure if I want to keep the AC or make the move with all the crap i've been buying. Only time will tell i guess.

I keep going back and forth about getting rid of the A/C.. but its just talk... I'm keeping her at least until my 4th year of residency (PGY4 resients can start moonlighting... aka, more money... aka, potential car upgrade)... or I may just ride this thing until the wheels fall off like I did my 1995 200SX... kept that one for 12 years, 185,000 miles... NISSAN CARS KICK major a$$ in the overall quality and longevity department...

i love my A/C, well actualy my wifes, but still treat it like if it were my, and i am not planning on getting rid of it anytime soon. i mean of course it is going to happen one day, maybe in about another 2 to 3 yr. i already have my alittle over 2yrs wit it and loving it. but of course wish she wouldve gotten the v6 but im very happy with my 4. i have big plans for my baby, i mean huge, just taking it time.and i also got the ok by the mrs. for the 370z, but that wont b anytime soon. so ill still be around, i love this place so much, to just let it go.

I've had my sedan since February of 2007 and there have been many times of thought of getting rid of it but that wont happen for a long time.

Now I find out that adidas2go ,Blake who was one of the people we inspired many of us including me, is parting out his car. These cars only came out 2 years ago and it seems like the members that at first were WAY DEEP into loving the car are just turning around and walking away. Maybe it's just me, but I'm not liking what I see. Regardless of me getting a GT-R by the end of this year or early next year when they fix all the problems with it and if I don't get a different exotic car instead. My AC isn't going anywhere. It will not be traded in, regected or totalled. Sorry I just needed to VENT .

Ricky C.
I noticed this as well over the past few weeks. Seemed like 50% of the posts were bad news (either wrecks / dents / dings or selling). I'm one of those people who always wants more (I've owned more cars than years I've been driving), and while now that I've moved to a much better climate than Central PA for sporty cars and would love to go back to the Z, I've made the decision to stick with this car until I can get a GT-R, and I'm serious about it too. It's not like I'll be "putting up" with the AC or anything, haha. I love it! But, the time will come that I'll trade it in for it's bigger, bigger brother, but that's a long way off. I have a business venture that needs to grow quite a bit first. Baby steps Till then, I'll be thoroughly enjoying my AC!
