Funny thing is, THAT IS A LAW! It's part of the basic immigration procedures. You MUST pass a literacy exam before you can become a naturalized citizen of the United States. Yet there are billboards that have ONLY SPANISH on them 3 miles down the road from where I sit typing this message right now. Burger King's soda machine has a banner that is in only Spanish. It's getting ridiculous, and is pissing me off.

Spanish is very close to being the official language of the US, followed very closely by Chinese. English is actually spoken by less of the population than Spanish is.

Why does it piss you off...that other people and companies have the right to speak whatever language they choose? How is this affecting you in a negative way? There is no law stating that you must speak and write English...would you rather there be one?
