I've got a regular one that was on mine. No lights on it and don't have the metal tab that glues on the winsheild.Danrc30 wrote:I need a rear view mirror for my g-friend's vert. Yes, the one that attaches to the windshield... Anyone have one?
Thanks, I have a regular one too... it's actually for my g-friend's vert. Trying to get a nice used one.biggie wrote:I've got a regular one that was on mine. No lights on it and don't have the metal tab that glues on the winsheild.

Ah ok. Should mention that you want the one with the lights then, as 'vert mirror' could be either one.Danrc30 wrote:Thanks, I have a regular one too... it's actually for my g-friend's vert. Trying to get a nice used one.
Anyone else?
Really? All vert mirrors weren't created equal? Some didn't have the lights?biggie wrote:Ah ok. Should mention that you want the one with the lights then, as 'vert mirror' could be either one.
GL.
Nope it was an option of some kind. Maybe with leather?Danrc30 wrote:Really? All vert mirrors weren't created equal? Some didn't have the lights?
Mine came with mirror w/map lights and I don't have leather. Maybe later model?biggie wrote:Nope it was an option of some kind. Maybe with leather?
Guess so maybe. I haven't figured it out yet, that's for sure.94_240sx wrote:

Well, my 93 has it, and her 92 doesn't. Neither have leather. I thought they all had it and that the mirror she has was just a regular crappy mirror put there for some odd reason. This has become quite an interesting discussion... if hers didn't come with one when new, I won't need the mirror b/c I'm not going to install it with the wiring and stuff.tenkawa_akito wrote:I think I have the mirror option narrowed down to a '94 option. The only flaw to that hypothesis is that my '92 FSM has the mirror in it, and the header cover for the windshield has a cutout for wiring.
It could have just been a "we had a bunch of these lying around and had no where to put 'em" type of option.
It was not difficult as you can see by my 'how to' post. Took me about 15-20 mins to do everything. The map lights are a great thing to have in there, since there's no other way for light when driving down the road.Danrc30 wrote:Well, my 93 has it, and her 92 doesn't. Neither have leather. Agreed. So, who's got one?biggie wrote:It was not difficult as you can see by my 'how to' post. Took me about 15-20 mins to do everything. The map lights are a great thing to have in there, since there's no other way for light when driving down the road.
Think in my post I mentioned this, but if not... You can not run the power to the dome light. Dome light only sees power when the door is open, so you have to run it to a constant power source.tenkawa_akito wrote:in hind sight, leeching power off the dome light would have been easier
Mine had a problem then. Although I did just replace my passenger side switch, but when I hooked it to the dome with the door closed I had no power.tenkawa_akito wrote:It does have power. It has a constant going to it. The door switch is a ground complete for it. I actually tried hooking the third wire from the mirror up to the constant side of the dome to get the map lights to come on when a door was opened. it resulted in the map lights being constantly on with the doors closed. The dome light still functioned normally.
Nope. Not strictly '94s either.biggie wrote:From what I can tell the ones that have a dome light above the mirror don't/didn't have the mirror lights. The ones that had a mirror lights were used for map lights and dome lights.
