For those that don't have map lights, this for wiring the map light rear view mirror. I didn't take pics of every little detail though.

Unbolted and removed the driver's side visor and the center dome light. Unscrewwed the one screw on the A-pillar and removed it.

-Ran the 2 wires needed beside dash to underneath.

-Used a connector and hooked the ground underneath the bolt holding the TCU behind the kick panel.-Solder the power wire to the PURPLE wire(T-style) running to the flip-up switch.-Soldered in an inline fuse holder to the power wire, runing a 10amp fuse.

-Used male and female connectors to wire to mirror (after cutting off connector). The black with BROWN stripe is ground. The SOLID BLACK is power for individual lights. Black with WHITE is for 'dome' use (I did not use this but could be wired to the dome light power source).

-Tucked in wires along A-pillar. Used small zip ties to hold together and a couple zip ties in holes not used by the pillar cover to hold them (the rectangle holes are for the pillar cover to snap into).

-Tucked behind the upper cover, be sure not to be in the way of the visor or dome light screw holes.

Nice and neat.

And complete.

Guys, I wired in my light today and found a much simpler and more functional way to do it. I simply took the 3 wires and found my ground wire and grounded it. Then just tried the different wires to the 2 wires of the OEM map light. I have mine hooked up so that the mirror lights light with door open/out door shut. The little switches also will light the mirror lights with door closed! No extra wires to run, just drill a hole and secure your ground with a screw and tap into the map light wires with the other 2 wires.

You have to get the wires right to get it to function both ways.

Or you can just spend $11 on the wiring harness from Nissan. Part number K1231 6X002. Plug and play.
