Unfortunately, the cursory sales figures for most automakers don’t include the sale of used cars. We can only hope that the classic Nissan designs, performance and quality of the older Nissans will drive people to buy a Nissans when buy a new.

Just wish theyd brought the WRX here when it was still the GC8 WRX.

But all of this is a bit arbitrary. Drive it, if you like it, like it and hang what others say. I drove a brand new Lancer with the 2.4l motor, and it was a lot of fun. the gearshift was great, and it made more grip than I knew what to do with. A great little car, and though it might nto show its tailights to anyone at a track or on the strip, I still like it. why? because it was fun to drive. If youre all about numbers and beating the other guy, youre missing the point. Just go out there and enjoy what you drive. Let the rich boy win at the stoplight, and when after he rolls daddy's shiny 555 rally blue WRX (which he will) maybe he'll learn that being a jackass at the stops doesnt count for anything other than what it is- being a jackass.

summary: Like what you like, and dont hop on the bandwagon, or off of it, just because others are doing the same.

im just gonna say this. I didnt read through all the post but, besides subura making awesome cars as it is. The AWD drivetrain has different setups, the talon (eclipse or laser) wasnt made for rally, meaning different torque per whichever wheel. I have a AWD blazer that tears up other stock blazers or jimmys (same thing) but it has 60% power to rear and 40% to front unless needed otherwise. whether it be 2 wheel or 4 wheel. As for those camaros and such. They have very powerful engines but V8 or (V6) power there is also weight. Suburu is a 4 banger and weighs less then the camaro or 350. Its all in weight+power+torque+drivetrain+=? The AWD setup will always (in my opinion) be the best setup any car can ever have. Of course what sucks about having AWD you got to redo the drivetrain when you update to a certain amount of power. My 2cent plus a couple.

i can say that a wrx is a over looked car. as a owner of one. i ran 14.3 with a 60' of 1.87. it has two limited slip. the way it is set upis that it has low gear sets and it accelerates fast. by all mean when picking up its quick. but then when you down shift in the hiway, its a whole different story. it doesnt go anywhere. besides that, i did mild bolt ons and i manage a 13.4 with a 60' of 1.77.

subbies are just plain fast. its all in the gearing, and the 3 LSD's. my car ran a 15.4 at 89.6mph with only intake/exaust. it's also all driver.

sr'd 240's with bolt-ons can take a wrx on a roll on - speaking from experience.

well the subbies have never been too quick from a roll. Hell a stock evo8 if launched right, will beat a 35oZ through the 1/4 everytime. But on the highway from a roll, the Z will win em all

no, the Z is def faster from a roll. Its got shorter gearing and has less paracitical loss through the drivetrain. Ive seen it in person, and actually, without a perfect launch, the Evo will bog and lose its advantage of the good 6oFT times.

I Drove a WRX once...It's fast. never launched it tho cuz it was a friends and I didnt want to rape his transmission.

I was a passenger in stock wrx in a loss in a street race to a SR 240 and a turbo PT cruiser both with unkown mods. all cars were abuot 1 length apart at finish with pt in front then 240 then scuburu (sigh I know)
