So i just started driving my 240 again, normally its stored for the winter but my truck blew up and i need to drive something... so i wake up this morning, and my thermometer say its -22*C thats about -10*F and with a wind chill of -38*C (-36* F)

now with the old battery that was in it, i wouldnt have any concern about it starting (OEM battery) but i have a redtop SR...with a small battery....

My battery actually comes from the local telephone company, they use it as a backup for their power sources, its the size of a lawn tractor battery. I went out to start the car to let it warm up for a bit, cranked over and fired no problem, no struggling...

HOLY SHART!! this is the best battery ive ever owned...did i mention i froze it once?

Yah, my S13 was really unhappy at 6:30 am 2 weeks ago, -30 F makes for a really slow crank. Have you ever seen what 10w30 looks like at -30? Imagine thick brown honey.

I had to set my 300,000 btu torpedo heater on a roller cabinet facing into my engine bay. Along with my truck with jumpers and and a boost charger to get my engine to crank fast enough to fire. I am running straight 40 weight, but I never use it in the winter just run it to keep the fluids moving.

I like the days that are so cold the shift cables on my beater freeze up.

He speaks the truth, I just traversed a huge pile of really salty snow up here in Braintree Mass. It was like 3 blocks long all up on the curb, black and gray and disgusting!
