Hey everybody First of i love my 2008 G37s........ now before i bought it i was checking out their accessories to see what i could see what would look good on my car after i bought it. I only want to put on infiniti licensed parts.. anyhow here goes the story. I WENT TO CIRCLE INFINITI DEALERSHIP OF MONMOUTH AND OCEAN COUNTY OF NEW JERSEY. I took the car out for a test drive and that was it I fell in love right then and there but before i bought it i asked if it had the technology package
and 4was ( four-wheel-active-steering) this being its expensive to fix and i just dont like it. when i was test driving i could not tell if it had either of the two. so i asked the the sales man at "CIRCLE INFINITI DEALERSHIP OF MONMOUTH AND OCEAN COUNTY OF NEW JERSEY if the car had those options and the man quickly and confidently said no.. the reason i did not want the technology package is because i wanted to put on a aero kit tHat i seen and really really liked . in fact it was the only one i liked but it cant fit on the g37s with the technology package. so when he said no i was like cool i can get that aero kit i seen. i bought the car in january and this past week i went to get the one and only aero kit i liked which was actually sold by infiniti and come to find out my car has technology package and i cant get it cause of the thing in the front bumper.. so i called CIRCLE INFINITI DEALERSHIP OF MONMOUTH AND OCEAN COUNTY OF NEW JERSEY and told them of my problem.. The manager there had this to say to me and i quote" i am sure my professional sales man did not say no the car does not have the technology package he has been working here for a very long time and knows the cars well and would not lie to a customer also he said i should of been SMART enough to look at the front bumper and see the little thing that works the cruise control and the buttons on the steering wheel that activate it and there is noting he can do and i should be happy not complaining that i got extra options that i did not have to pay for" end quote... now i know some people will not agree with me but i feel i should not of been lied to . this is my first infiniti and i have no idea what the technology package looks like. i wanted to buy a g37s and put the aero kit on. so thats my problem now.. CIRCLE INFINITI DEALERSHIP OF MONMOUTH AND OCEAN COUNTY OF NEW JERSEY said they can not take out the technologhy package..... i only wanted a g37s with a the bose radio which i got but now i cant put on the one and only aero kit i liked...... to me that is not cool.and its not about getting stuff for free or anything like that.. Its the point that i was lied to by
CIRCLE INFINITI DEALERSHIP OF MONMOUTH AND OCEAN COUNTY OF NEW JERSEY and ( i think this is the worst part) that the manager told me i should of know to look at the bumper and been able to see that the car had the hardware in the front bumper.. like i said i knew nothing about the packages of the g37s just that the car looked beautiful
and had the nicest exhaust i have ever heard o i almost forgot even on the sticker on the window of the car the option for technology package was not on there. so if anyone is going to get a new g37s or know someone who is getting one stay far away from
CIRCLE INFINITI DEALERSHIP OF MONMOUTH AND OCEAN COUNTY OF NEW JERSEY but other than that the car is the most awesome beautiful car i have every owned!!!!!

He's being smart and wants it to show up when people search on the web so this thread pops up.

I can't blame him, it does sound like he was lied to. Not kewl...especially the response he got from them.

I would also do the BBB thing and a site called Rip off report.

Sorry to hear of your troubles and I hope it someway get's reolved or they in the very least apologize. Did you ask the sales rep if he remembered that you asked NOT to have the Tech package??

I guess people still beleive whatever a dealer says. I know I don't.

Did you buy it new?

Do you have the link to the aero kit you are talking about?

You can relocate the sensors BTW if you want to.

wow. what douchebags. Seriously, at any dealer there will be morons who claim they know the vehicles they are working on. I knew a salesman here that thought EVERY SINGLE new infiniti had Navigation because they all had a "television screen" in the dash. So he would ask me for a Navigation CD to "activate" the Nav system on a car he just sold. I told him what was up and let the managers know that they hire idiot salesmen too often. Some guys were fired. Anyway, OP you should definitely find out what can be done about this. A salesman with "SO much experience" should know just by looking at the car from the outside or looking at the Dash if a car has certain options. He obviously pays NO attention when he takes his new car courses.

lol thanks guys seeing CIRCLE INFINITI DEALERSHIP OF MONMOUTH AND OCEAN COUNTY OF NEW JERSEY made my day..lololo thats great.. but as of now there is still nothing the manager CIRCLE INFINITI DEALERSHIP OF MONMOUTH AND OCEAN COUNTY OF NEW JERSEY will do and infiniti headquarters said they do not get involeved with things like this and that the dealerships are not owned by infiniti the aero kit i want is on the infiniti web site under accessories for the g37s coupe without the technology package that I now have on my car due to the fact that i was not smart enough to be able to spot it on a car i know nothing about especially to be able to look at the front bumper in the lower part of it which is all dark and see the little plastic thing and know that its a technology package STUPID ME duh ... lol maybe someone who is somehow conncected with infiniti in a way that would be able to make this situation right will see our thread and do something about it. but until then it looks like all i can do is talk about it on here. and eventually if i really really want a aero kit go out and get one that i did not want in the first place but that then kind of defeats the purpose of being able to get exactly what you want... THE INFINITI TOTAL OWNERSHIP PROGRAM what a crock of s***!!!!

Although most of us are happy owners there always going to be some who won't be. I think the best if you move on. If otherwise the aero kit is a perfect fit don't see why you can't put it on with the tech package. All you have to do is move the sensor a little out. Also if you not using it you don't even have to move it just leave it as it is.

It's the same at every Nissan & Infiniti dealership I have done business with. They will lie, steal & cheat at every turn. I'm not surprised that the salesman said whatever you wanted to hear as it happened to me, too, at Nissan. The North America office is never of any help. All you can do is stop by the dealer every time you're near, and use up all their coffee & cookies.

I found Circle Infiniti to be one of the best run dealerships I've ever dealt with.
I don't know who you dealt with but over the past 4 1/2 that I've had a relationship with Circle Infiniti they are in my opinion THE BEST

Ask for Todd in the service department and be nice.
He will take good care of you.

Perhaps you just need an attitude adjustment?

no not a attitude adjustment not at all.. i love my g and would not have any other car... its just the simple fact that i did indeed ask if it had a technology package and looked on the sticker on the window the sales man told me no and the sticker did not have it either.. i only wanted a g37 with a navi because i really liked the aero kit that i seen prior to me buying the car.. and i dont think its fair now that i bought the car that the dealer said he is not even gonna ask his sales man because he knows that his sales man is a professional and knows all of the cars. if it happened to you i am sure you would be dissapointed. and the other thing when the guy on the phone told me i should not be complaining about getting options for free.. and that he had never had a customer do that before. but getting things is cool not when those things prevent you from getting the aero kit you want that i should of been smart enough to see the hardware in the front bumper that was not cool...and the technology package cant be taken out or at least thats what the dealer told me... but i will call and ask for todd and see what he says maybe he can help me ... i only want whats fair and what i paid for.. i mean whats right is right?

if you really want that aero kit then have a shop install it and retrofit the cruise control things in it. it's really not a big deal.

Counterpoint:

My dad bought a car from Circle Infiniti Dealership of Monmouth and Ocean County of New Jersey some years back (an '03 G35 to be specific) and got a great honest deal on the car with a painless sales process. The car turned out to be a lemon (electrical problems with the dashboard and A/C controls that could not be fixed despite numerous attempts) and even though he didn't threaten to sue or anything, after like the 6th service visit for the same issue, they offered to buy his car back at way over book value, and let him get into an '05 G35X at invoice. Sorry to hear about your negative experience, but they took good care of my dad at that same place.

BTW Welcome to NICO

I have to disagree with such a negative post that you made because some aftermarket item is not compatible with your G37.
A year or so ago I purchased a Purolator Cabin Filter for my G35 because it was on sale and cheaper than an Infiniti Cabin Filter. A week or so later the filter was slightly hitting the blades of the fan motor making noise. When i spoke to Todd and described the problem he told me exactly what was making the noise. I replaced that cabin filter with an Infiniti one and now only use Infiniti filters.
Am I blaming my Infiniti?

NO

My point is that they could have very easily had me bring the car in and charge me $$$ for correcting what turned out to be a simple fix.

That is the kind of dealership that Circle Infiniti is and not the one you described in your OP

Go figure a greasy salesman works in New Jersey...

You got pwned, it sucks I am sorry to hear about it. :badboy

Used car salesman have the reputation of ...well used car sales man for a reason.

I have personally spent the better part of the last decade watching a revolving door or salesman pass through the dealers making dirty deals by lying to people. In this day and age before making any type of investment you've got to do a little research. While there is enough blame it sucks that you are left with a car that is better than you wanted.

Did you at least get a deal you couldn't refuse?

It sounds like you bought a great car, as for expensive to fix aspect yes and no they have reliability on par with if not better than the rest of luxury market (better than anything English, and most German). They tend to stand behind the product well. That being said get your self an Elite warranty or service contract if you are worried upkeep costs, but don't neglect it that is when they get expensive fast that way.

Circle Infiniti should have done the right thing

The salesman at Circle Infiniti seems to have flawed ethics and should be selling Hyundais from a trailer in....well AC.

WOW Howie...I am really surprised at your post. This guy was mislead and lied to. Keep in mind it was a Sales rep not the service guy you speak so highly of. No matter how you slice it, upgrade or not. He didn't get what he paid for. He specifically asked and they mislead him....PERIOD.

:slap: :nono: I'd be pizzed too!!!!!
The saleman was at fault. He works for the dealership, so the dealership was at fault.
They did not do the right thing.
So, I wouldn't take my freaking push mower to
CIRCLE INFINITI DEALERSHIP OF MONMOUTH AND OCEAN COUNTY OF NEW JERSEY
for service much less my John Deere!!!!!

Reminds me of a story....it's a Mustang Cobra story!!! :dblthumb:
About 11 years ago I met a good mustang buddy while in a local Ford dealership. We were both drooling over a set of Cobra R rims. We talked a bit, and later became good friends when he moved into a neighborhood near by with his new bride.....He was just out of college and also worked in IT.
Anyway, I had asked him one day if he wanted to go look at the new Cobra's at that same Ford dealership that we met at. That's when he told me how he Hated that dealership and would never go back!!! I had been buying cars from them for years and never had a problem...

So, he went on to tell me about how he bought his new 99 Cobra convertible.
He had been out of college for only about a year and had a great job in IT.
So, he wanted to get his first new car!!!.
He went to the dealership and asked the salesman to test drive the new Cobra convertible because he was very interested in buying one.
The salesman told him that they were VERY expensive and he had just what he needed over on the used car lot....a V6 Mustang..........So, he blamed the dealership for his treatment and decided right then he would never do business with them EVER.
He went to another Ford dealership, test drove a brand new 1999 Cobra Convert and bought it on the spot. Did the stupid saleman pre-judge my buddy because he was young??? Because he is non-white??? Or because the salesman is just an idiot???
Doesn't really matter, my buddy still will not go back to that dealership!
Oh, and btw, putting springs on a IRS 1999 Cobra SUX!!!!! We spend ALL DAY putting them on and the struts and cc plates...

Oh, and these stories remind me of an Osmond Brothers song....anybody wanna guess and show their age??? :gotme

not trying to stand up for the dealer here,...but may i ask how old are you? is this this the first car you've ever owned?
reason i pone these questions is because i agree with the manager who told you that you need to do your own research.
you're a grown man and should know that a car salesman (or any salesman for that matter) will spout out little lies here and there to make a sale (keep in mind they have a family to support as well).
if you ask me you should've came on to an Infiniti website prior to purchasing your G and gotten all your research done here to get all the necessary answers, so that you're armed with knowledge and have the upper hand in any situation.
bad mouthing a dealer because a salesman SOLD you a car based on you trusting him is foolish. i think you should take this as a lesson and apply this to future situations that involve big decisions.
now, is the salesman wrong for lying? yes! that is wrong to lie to someone (or anyone for that matter) for personal gain. again, to protect yourself against people like that, you need to also arm yourself with knowledge before putting your trust into someone. especially a CAR SALEsMAN!

thanks for reading and responding

The customer asked for no tech package, and they sold him the tech package G.. and it is customer fault? The sale guy needs to know what he is selling... that is just bad! Like going to restaurant asking for Coke.. and they give you a Pepsi..

so taking into consideration what you just said, if i go to Lucille's BBQ and get my tasty Double smoked hickory BBQ bacon burger (thats a mouthful of words right there by the way) and i get a Pepsi instead of Coke i should just badmouth a whole organization and reccomend no one ever go there again????

the OP got lied to....OK. we got it. is he innocent? i dont think so. he has a brain, two hands and a computer.
we are all grown-ups here and can research a car before we buy it. his mistake was to put his trust ENTIRELY into the salesman; an individual who generaly looks out for his best interest and not yours...generally.....there are still a few good salesman out there who look out for the customer.
again....the sales guy was probably a douche just trying to make a sale and didnt care about the OP wants or concerns, but there is no need to bad mouth an ENTIRE dealership because of one douche!
....now...if that dealer has a history of unsatisfied customers i can probably side more with the OP more than now.

The Pepsi example was a bad one.

This is so simple, I can't believe anyone would see it a different way??

Customer wants X.
Goes to dealership and asks for X
Salesrep tells Customer "Yup, this is X...just what you asked for"
Customer buys X and drives away and finds out he's really been sold a Y
Advises Sales Manager...Sales Manager defends staff action and tells customer diplomatically "too bad..go away"

How in the hell is ANY of this the Customers fault?? Because he put trust into someone who's job is to know their product and what their selling??

WOW..I'm totally blown away that anyone would even attempt to put blame on the OP. If it was a private sale, theres a SLIM chance I would agree, but not a dealership, especially one that's supposed to be so reputable.

OK, after reading most of the thread about how much this dealer sucks and such. Is anyone going to actually help the guy get a damn aero kit on the car or did I miss that somewhere? Are we all going to stand around talking about the fire and how much it's burning or actually put it out?

C'mon everybody cheer up. Get some BEERZ fire up the BBQ and enjoy the weekend. I guess it lesson learned he already said he moved on. We have a solution if he wants to install the kit and use the ICC or not.

He loves the car. That's all the matter.

Agreed.
Is very bad that the dealership does not right the wrong that the dealership made! (bottom line). Why should a car salesman selling a 40K item be held at a lower standard than say somebody selling musical instruments for example???.
Another story.... :ohno:
My wife works at at a music store and if you were to come in and asked for a viola and she sold you a violin, the management would make it right when you came back in to complain after your band director tells you that you got the wrong instrument and my wife would be written up. OK, who knows the difference between a viola and a violin??? :gotme
And, it is a very important lesson to the consumer, educate yourself and not depend on the salesman.
Like Zozo says, it's the WEEKEND!!!!! BEERZ on Zozo!!!!
 :monkey: :stooges: :thewave: :toast: :BnB:
