by the way as i am reading the posts i will address all of them at once i am 30 and i did reasearch the infiniti g and all of its options .... mind you i seen that the kit would not fit with a technology package since i did not want this option cause the kit would not fit i did not look into the deatails of it... i figured that infinit which speaks so highly of it customer satasafaction would sell me what i paid a lot of money for .... makes sence to me i did not want technology package so why would i look into it ( thats my thinking anyway) and the difference between ordering a coke and getting a pepsi is about 40k but its still the point ... i did not get what i paid for reguardless of how much i know about the car... but this is a life lesson that i will learn for and hopefulluy i can somehow get that kit to fit without damaging the hardware or having to spend a lot of money to get it custom fitted around the little plastic eye... like i said before it was wrong the customer is supposed to get what he paid for .. if i wanted someone to lie to me i would of went to my local honda dealer and bought a 10 year old honda with 150000k miles but i did not . the thing that bothers me even more is that the manager told me to ( and i think his name is brian by the way) not sure tho ... is THAT I SHOULD OF BEEN SMART ENOUGH TO LOOK AT THE FRONT BUMPER AND SEE IT..... thats wrong. but what ya gonna do. and there was nothing he could do he did not even offer to make it better in no way whatso ever ... one more thing he did not ask my name of the vin of my car its just not fair guys i only wanted what i paid a lot of money for .. to me anyway some people dont have the problem of haveing to worry about money but for every one who understands and aggres with me thanks.. i dont hate infiniti as a whole just CIRCLE INFINITI OF MONMOUTH AND OCEAN COUNTY OF NEW JERSEY for lying to me i will contuniue to shop with infiniti and my next car will be a infiniti i just will not deal with CIRCLE INFINITI OF MONMOUTH AND OCEAN COUNTY OF NEW JERSEY... and i can almost bet if someone who works at infiniti or someone from CIRCLE INFINITI OF MONMOUTH AND OCEAN COUNTY OF NEW JERSEY catches wind of this ... one of two things will happen 1 They will deny if complety and say i neve called 2 they will say i am lying and make up a story completly story different from my trying to cover their buts and make me look like the bad guy... BUT I LOVE MY G !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow! I've been away for a year and you guy's let this place go to $hit! J/K I'm worn out just reading that post!

I'M BACK!!!! :wavey:

OP,
Welcome to Nicoclub and America!

During your visit to Nicoclub, we hope you experience many encounters with a wide variety of well spoken enthusiasts that share your Infiniti ownership experience.

During your visit to America however, you may at times experience turbulence...this is what is known as life...The reality is that your encounter with your local dealership would have been much more desirable had you been an informed consumer. If the "aero package" was such a significant factor in your decision to purchase, then it is encumbent upon you (the consumer) to evaluate the actual vehichle you have purchased and express these concerns at time of delivery (I'm certain you signed a release waiver when you took posession of the vehichle... didn't you?). I'm in no way condoning the act of mis-represenation (it happens all the time) but you (the consumer) are ultimately responsible. What may be important to you, may not be as important to all. It would be in your best interest to effectively communicate any concerns at the time of delivery to your sales representative.

Life Lesson)- Believe only half of what you see and none of what you hear.

The bottom line is that you have a wonderful car (with free added options). If the worst thing that happens to you during your entire ownership experience is that you were unable to add an "aero kit" to your car so that you can stand out & bag more tail on the Jersey shore, then I'd say you're doing okay! At first glance, it appears that you have a textbook case of "buyers remorse" (also happens all the time) deal with it.

Life Lesson #2) Happiness is achieved when you truly want what you already have rather than have what you want today.

I'm confident that you'll find an "aero kit" on Nicoclub that will meet your needs... it may not be from Infiniti, and it may require a little bit of research but it will certainly be a great modification! In the meantime, don't sweat the small stuff; don't believe everything you hear; Enjoy life and get the most tail you can bag while your still young!

Life Lesson #3) Life is a journey, not a destination... Enjoy the ride!

Drive Safely,
:)

Dunno

There is a guy who replaced his journey bumper with sport bumper and the shop moved his sensor with no issue. I know it is a pain in the rear end but achivable. I think.

But you know more than I do about these cars. A lot more.

Well, my 2007 G35X has the sport bumper on it now and the sensor is working fine. The sport bumper was put on in July of '09 and has been working fine this whole time. The shop that installed it had to make a custom bracket to get it to mount correctly and then the Infiniti dealership had to reset it and all was good. I think I paid $100 for the bracket they made for it. This is the best picture I have off hand:
