I agree with the above statement that they should come out with some new graphics rather than recycling old ones.

But you know the business world, gotta cut costs, what better way than to cut costs by getting rid of a gang of graphic designers and recycle the ones they already created.

WOTLK came with some pretty nice graphical upgrades. Dynamic shadows and improved lighting plus new particle effects.

But yes, I think the game is going to need a graphical overhaul at some point, and preferably soon. I don't see why the game can't effectively have two sets of visuals: the current set, and an improved set for those who can run it. Swapping higher poly models and high-res textures shouldn't be a big deal.

Have you all seen the latest Tier 8 gear that's about to come out, it looks so stupid. Well most of them are stupid from the ones that i saw.

Rogues would look tight I think if they didn't have that dumb skull on the top.

Heck, I'll adopt it! Between my roommate and I, we'd give those characters and their gear a good home!

Naw, I don't have 50 clams to spare for a game I don't play that often. Especially since I'd have to pay even MORE for server transfers after that.

I just heard that when the new instance (Uldar) comes out, Blizzard is taking away the purple and black proto drake that you get from achievements. So get it done while you can.

Patch 3.1 is out today.

The patch notes didn't say anything about Blizz yanking the proto-drake mounts from the achievement list. I'll be able to confirm/deny it when the realms are back up in a bit.

Watch the trailer that was released today for it:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vjb0EaC80W0

'Bout effing time this patch hit. I've been looking forward to it for ages.

BTW, on the subject of WoW, I now have a 65 Death Knight that I've rolled specifically for instance grinding with a friend who is quad-boxing. I tank, he does everything else. So much freaking fun. I love Death Knights.

EDIT:I'm really liking most of the DK changes. The new improved Presences are fan-smegging-tastic. Retaining my health bonus (I have a tanking-heavy frost build) across to Blood Presence is a HUGE benefit and carrying Blood's healing over to Frost really helps the healer's workload in instances. The Death Knight was a character you could solo with no downtime before, but the improved Presences take that up yet another notch. No drinking, no eating, no stopping.I wish Blizz hadn't crammed Howling Blast down at the bottom of Frost, though. My current talent build at 65 is much more "stretched" than it was pre-patch because I wanted to get down to Howling Blast. It's far too useful a tool to not have at this point in the game, but in order to get it I'm missing out on other talents. (I have a howling blast glyph that extends it's AOE range and makes it an excellent AOE aggro management tool).I really like the rebalancing of Pestilence and Blood Boil. BB is now much more useful for group aggro management with it's non-disease base-damage. Pestilence was pretty much useless outside of spreading disease anyway, so the shift to no damage is no loss.

I really wish the dual-specialization option was cheaper. It doesn't make much sense to me that they reduced the minimum level requirement for it but not the cost. Who has 1000 gold at 40?!!!!! I don't even have 1000 gold at 65 and I've been selling a lot of 5-man blues left over from instance grinding. At least you only have to buy it once, I guess. And since cold-weather-flying is a 77 ability there's no point in wasting money on expert/artisan riding at 70 anymore, so that money can go to my dual-spec fee instead.

The money amount was set for those sitting at level cap with a ton of money. It's nothing more than a money sink, much like the 5k gold cost for epic flying.

I ran the first part of Ulduar the other night. It's fun. We only downed the first boss, and wiped to the deconstructor boss a few times. I'm hoping the rest of the instance is as fun as the first fight.

The changes to fury warrior make me a bit upset. They nerfed overall damage from dual wielding 2handed weapons. Now my DPS in fury is about the same as it is in Arms. However, my crit rate is still higher in fury, so I'll probably stick with it for a while.
