Would it be worth it?
My buddy has a 96 240sx with 118000 miles for sale. I can probably get it for 4000 cash. The only thing is its and automatic. How much trouble would it be to swap to a sr20det and swap transmissions? I could imagine it being quite a bit of work. If anyone has tips or even advice telling me its not worth the trouble it would be greatly appreciated. If it can work can someone tell me around how much it would be for the engine swap, transmission, pretty much everything to convert it to a manual. I'm going to worry about performance later any help is greatly appreciated.

If you plan on doing a swap you might save some money if you bye a shell or a s14 with a bad motor. It will be cake and definitely worth it. It will probably even smoke your Subaru The motor/ manuel trans swap will cost at least $2600+.

Thanks for the welcome glad to be here.I'm sure it would kill my subie its just an impreza not a wrx.
I believe it would be worth it too cause 240s are sexy lol. Do you have any idea what the price would be for the motor, trans, and all the extra parts in between just to get it going? I need to know if my funds can cover everything.
