torque will be the downfall of all i consider holy. no longer will i be able to take my bike and head to the mountains to have fun for a day because every little idiot and their brother will get a bike after seeing that movie and go launch themselves off of the side of the road being stupid. then cops will begin cracking down on bikes and i'll have to sell my bike for way more than it's worth because one of the characters in the previews has one just like it.... well, maybe there is an up-side to it :D but it'll still be ghey.

any movie with rappers for leading roles will pretty much suck, no matter what.

I think that's generally true of movies. However, I do like Law and Order; the one with Iced Tea in it. He plays the "i'm-from-the-hood-so-I-can-hate-on-rich-whities" character that the show so desperately needed.

about the fast and the furious...did anybody else think it was the exact same as point break¿? the only difference is in one you have surfing and robbing banks and in the other you have street racing and robbing trucks. if any of you don't remember point break it had patrick suaze (i can't spell...it's the dude from dirty dancing) and keanu reeves.

dak2007,

I was quoting Supafly on the rappers-in-movies comment. However, I have seen the movies you mentioned and I now realize that Supafly was correct.

All of those movies were terrible.

let me rephrase my comment to exclude Ice-T:

any movie with rappers that still currently have some kind of music career in them are destined to suck....lol

Dude Boyz in the Hood was and is one of my all time favorite movies. Ice Cube is the man in movies 1/2 the time.

tell you what i think: the movie 'Bullitt' with steve mcqueen is way over-rated. it was an ok movie considering it was back in the late 60s, but ive heard so many people say "it has one of the best car chases ever filmed!!" i strongly have to disagree with this, cuz it was a pretty boring car chase in my opinion. when it comes to chases i like a little excitement [even if its way over the top and total B.S.] its just fun to watch. i thought the chase in Lethal Weapon 4 was creative. rather entertaining too..

Ronin did have the most intense car chase. The car chase in Bullitt is short but so sweet. Ya gotta crank the volume up on that one and listen to those late '60s V8's.Sorry, as for car chases the original Gone In 60 Seconds OWN3S. Yeah the rest of the movies has crappy acting and a questionable plot, but that's because they blew ALL their money on the car chase. The chase lasts over 40 minutes and they destroyed 93 cars making it. (I have the Special Edition 25th Anniversary DVD) When I had it on VHS I would often just fast-forward to the beginning of the chase, now I can just use scene select, it rocks.

The best thing to think about while watching the original Gone in 60 seconds is Sabotage by the Beastie Boys.
