haha, when my engine blew, I was at a stop light. It was like 8 in the morning in rush hour traffic. After about 30 mins of grieving. I finally built up the courage to get out of the car, but I had to turn it around since the gas station was behind me. So picture me, 5'9 130 lbs. trying to push this car, while turning it. Then I have to get the s*** over a curb, which we all know failed. I didnt want help since I was in Detroit lol, then some huge a** black dude comes up behind me and im scared s***less. But he helped me push so it was all good.

Wasn't a 240, or even a Nissan (was a '96 Mazda MPV), but it was still a horrible way to break down. Was going to the Sakura Matsuri on the 4th, following some friends. Check Engine light came on, car stopped accelerating. Put on my blinkers and tried to get onto the shoulder, friends just kept going. >_< Shoulder wasn't safe, so I got BACK on the highway and drove 2 miles to the Urbana exit. By this time the radiator was overheating and I lost power steering and was stuck in first gear, had to drive it all the way down two roundabouts before I could park safely, with steam pouring out the hood. An alternator belt'd snapped and screwed up the battery and radiator, and the other two were bad as well. On the plus side, I must've picked the best parking lot in Frederick County to break down in. Soooooooooo many Zs and other great cars. ^_^

I had a intercooler coupler melt. Limped back home

Had my coil wire come off, rolled to the side of the road, and popped it back on.

Had a blow out in the middle of no where in my friends sunfire (between houston and san antonio I-10). Didnt have a lug wrench small enough to fit inside his lame "tuner" wheels.. so we had to wait 5 hours for a tow truck to come that had a socket set that would allow us to pull of the wheels.

Had a blow out in my 240 right next to a cop, he pulled me over, and made sure i was ok, then drove off, but the tire had so much pressure, when i blew, it sounded like a cannon blast.. and the tire turned into shrapnell, it didnt even look like a tire when i pulled off the road.

Had my blow off valve Blow off the hotpipe, and land somewhere on the freeway, and had a nice big hole in my hotpipe, got a 50 ft roll of duct tape, and taped the crap out of the pipe, after a houndred or so wrappings, the car made it home flawlessly.. just had to stay out of boost.

Had a Slave cyl go out while i was at school once.. luckily autozone was a walk away, so i grabbed a new one for like 14 bucks, slapped it in, and i was outa there in like 5 minutes... did a clutch dampner delete while i was at it.

Oh man moso I know the feeling. My rb s13 was just as moody. I talked about selling her one day as I was getting out of the car. The next day it died on the highway not 3 miles from my apartment complex. I could limp it down the shoulder, but an onramp ended that. I ended up having to get it towed back. It then wouldn't start for 4 months. I eventually cleaned the IACV which was BARELY dirty, and it started right up with no issue.

Worst breakdown location... I once had the deuce breakdown in a barrio overrun by cholos (gangsters) in East LA. I was a nervous foo. I had a coolant hose pop off and spill coolant everywhere. That sucked... I thought for sure, I was gonna get my a** kicked for the coolant spill. Instead they helped me out.I let the deuce cool down and off I went cautiously.

Not sure to count this as a break down, but I didn't notice a HUGE speed bump in this neighborhood while i was delivering....I was high-centered on it for like 30 minutes

Beale Street in Memphis, TN.....My buddy and I drove over to watch a game, and had fun on Beale street for a while afterwards. Went to start up, and all it hear is a high pitch wrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr....aka starter solenoid not engaging.......9 pm on a Sunday night....8 a.m. class Monday morning...3 hours from home...

I called a friend (good friend) to go pick up a new starter...1 hour later, 4 drunks offering help, and a little bit of Rendevous BBQ sauce...... and we were on our way back to Little Rock.
