The new issue (Sept 03) is just about all 180sx and Silvia. Parts guide, upgrades, factory rides and the like. Pretty cool but I still am not a big fan of SS's write-ups. They dumb-down a lot of their articles for the non-technically proficient reading population. So those that can understand get left out to dry. Bah, I get SS for filler between my issues of SCC anyway

U know its funny! all us 240 owners are stuck between a rock and a hard place. what i mean is, we all drive our 240's on the street, we race, and kick some a$$. even if some of us dont race we still kick a$$ on the way our cars look. but anyways, we show our cars, race our cars, we are all just advertising the 240, am i wrong? guys that own the 240 love the position they're in. not to rice and not to popular. we tell the honduh guys (well not JUST the honduh guys) after we win a race "GET A NISSAN".....and then they do! i just dont like those guys that get a honda, fix it up, then they see a NISSAN 240 with that PSSHHHHHhhhhHH....sound and that sweet mean faced car,and say " Im getting that next".

they gave too much bs about parts and not enough on actual useable info and suspension setups/ how to tune. but as far as 240s getting too popular, yeah it was bound to happen, but how many do you actually see on the road? I hardly ever see any s14's around my way, only beat up s13's, and they are normal people. (even those are kinda scarce) the 240 is a rare enough car to not to have to worry that much, not enough of them to be played out like honda.
I agree with AJ-spec, 240's aren't real easy to find. On another note, how are we soo elite? All of us had to once see a 240sx and decide that we wanted it. Just because we realized that 240s are great cars before they haeva resurgence of popularity doesn't mean we are wholly better then anyone else.
Just bought the issue and I must say I am very scared. Although I like super street they're allowing ricers to accesss the secret world j/k of 240's. I hate to say it but expect altezzas, ugly American bodykits and even more cheap parts to flood the market for our cars..oh yeah and more cop attention....oh yeah and more ricers talking about SR20DET's.
The import scene is growing even here in indiana. People think I drive a probe. More and more people are starting to realize its not a probe its a nissan 240sx. Well with all this attention to the 240's I hope the value of my car goes up. Well at least I feel I can sell my car for more than its worth to another kid. Nick
yea, they are getting alot of attention now. i havent really seen so many untill after i sold mine, and now theres just alot running around here.only of which i know about 4 that are don up somewhat nicely, to an extent. but then i see whats happened to most s14's around here, and its getting horrible. sucks. oh well i now own a FC adn dont really see them around here.
ps, the drift scene is also becoming WAY TOO POPULAR. i was riding with my friend in his civic, and he pulled the ebrake in a wet parking lot and was like, hell yea i can drift.i just shook my head. and he tells me, i cant.ha, its because hes to chicken**** to ride when i do that he doesnt know what its really like!

Right now 240/Silvias are getting very popular....i really don tliek it but as every one has said i was gonna happen sooner or later...good thing that 240's are not easy to find....i hope that the 240 never makes the Supra/RX7 level to where it is very over priced....ive seen a Supra's have gone up in price by about 10k in the past 2 years they are average 30+k.....the 240 is getting htere i have seen a 2-3k price jump in TX alone...and oh yeah Drifting is getting way to popular.....every one thinks they know every thign about drifting now

honduhs are fine so are nissans and every other import, but its ppl with bad taste and bad judgment (sp?) that make all of us look bad, i dont like ppl puting big wings on cars when they dont need it, and neon and such.. but its their car and they can do what they like to it.. atleast somone is getting rich off their stupidity.. i just need to start producing some rice gear and i too will be rich and won't care what cars look like cuz ill be cruzing around in a skyline or NSX or somthing.. what does pi$$ me off is when these dumb *** kids think they are pro drivers and street race where ppl are walking on the streets and start killing ppl.. or drift trying to look cool, and kill someone.. and more and more this is going to happen.. i do race, and i do drift but i do it in places i know there won't be anyone to kill but myself. i make shure i scope the place out b4 i do anything. because no matter how good you think you are, somthing can go wrong.

I agreee. The only thing we have going for ourselves is that nissan is no longer making the car so it's not like you can read Super street and rush out and buy one. Too much information in there, nissan guys like looking for parts.
When are they going to put an underbody neon kit on a 240. I can't wait for that install. :rolleyes
Damn, I've been wanting 240 for a long while, but i'm almost done with high school and don't have much money. All the 240s i've seen have been beaten to hell and back. Just searching for a good sporty RWD car. Now the prices are going up, so it's at least good for you guys. You'll get more aftermarket, some good some bad. After I'd get enough money I'd just love that as a project car, but the SR20DET would probably not pass emissions. I don't know if the stock truck engine would do it for me, all the new cars are getting faster and faster.
I hate the term "truck engine".:rolleyes You can tell whos been reading superstreet and SCC when they use that term. The KA gets bashed alot in those mags; they dont give it its due credit. Our cars make more power stock than alot of sport compact cars out there. It also has alot of potential when you turbo it correctly.
