First thing first: I just found this website, and it seems like a good place to be (idk how I have missed it for so long. My mom has had a 2004 and now 2007 G35x, and I have an 03 350z).

In December 2010 I helped my mom look for new G35x's to replace her 2004 with.
We ended up buying a 2007 (Grey/Blue) with 25xxx miles.
One of the buying points was the wood trim inside.
However, that trim doesn't extend to the doors, it ends after the dash and turns into some sort of suede.

Is it supposed to be like that (I'm guessing no)?
I found that I can buy the rear door trim here ( http://www.infinitipartsusa.com/Infinit ... m?CartID=1 )
But the same website says that the front trim is out of production; is there somewhere else I could pick it up? :gotme

And if we do end up buying the trim, how would I go about installing it?

Thanks

That suede is not supposed to be there as it was never offered via the factory. It looks like someone covered it in suede at a later date. You may be lucky and the factory wood is underneath and just needs to be cleaned. I would check that out first and then deal with potentially getting new pieces if you have too.

This thread goes over the parts and list pricing: wood-trim-guide-for-07-09-g35-sedans-08 ... 54980.html

Also a note, the wood trim pieces on the door had a tendacy to peel off. I know this was also the case on the M and that the wood trim is covered to 100k miles. The wood trim could be underneeth, or it could have been covered because of the peeling and if it is peeling then you would get a whole new trim peices for the whole interior. At least that was what I was told by my service manager at infiniti.
