Well im pretty much done with my swap, except for getting her to run. I have the wiring right (i think, i have done it twice now), the fpr and butterfly actuator things are run right, i hear the fuel pump prime when its in the on position, but im not sure about the ignition. When i turn the key it starts turning over but doesnt catch and run. Any ideas guys?

Just pulled a plug and cranked and it had no spark and the multimeter i put on it read nothing so there is no spark. But i have been through the heavy throttle wiring thing twice and i pretty sure i ahve it all right now....

Try doing the ecu self diagnositics and see what it spits out, if you got no spark, it is either your cas, ecu or ignitor, Chances that it is your ignitor. If you got an extra one swap it and give it a try.

I heard something about using a multimeter to test the ignitor... what wires do i hook it to and do i just tap it on and turn it over?

Well actualy there are a couple that arnt... I have to plugs near the valve cover and intake plenum that both fit into the plug going to the coil packs.. i have one small plug by the fuse box, and one small 2 prong plug on my transmission. There may be others but i think thats all of them...

You shouldn't have any un-done plugs by the plenum. Can you take pics?

Yeah, ill have them by tommarow night. And one thing.. i found my MAF plug bracketed in on the back of the motor... the plugs im talking about are along the same line as the maf plug.

a/c wires and ignitor wires go along the same bundle as the MAF plug don't they? I only have my a/c wires going over there because I relocated my ignitor to the passenger side firewall, but the other harnesses I've seen have the ignitor over there:)

I think the top one is the only one that needs hooked up and it's the one that runs your coilpacks. I think the others are deads.

Plug it in and crank it. I'll bet it starts. Looks just like the one that goes to my coil packs. I just checked it and I think thats it. Like I always say, plug it in, power it up, see if it smokes! Hehehe

Oh, well if you look at the one im not holding, its actualy plugged to another plug that looks very similar to it. But the other plug had a blue/red wire (harness side) going into it so i was thinking it was the ignition. I have switched to the two out but there is still always one left over. Any other ideas? When i try to crank it, it will turn over but no spark.

I'm at a loss. I don't think that I had an extra plug up there anywhere.

Well the problem is definatly spark because the fuel FLOWS out of the fuel filter when priming so if anyone can post pics of their motors wiring or any info on this is would be greatly appreciated.

Double check the basics fuse's wiring and make sure you have the wires correct off of the heavy throttle site. Ended up cutting the plugs off of my KA harness and matching all the colors up. The CA harness had more wires than there were places to go on the KA harness. Also some of the wires from the 2 plugs up at the battery where switched between the ka and ca plugs. meaning wire A in plug A went to wire A in plug B. Hope that helps and makes sence.

Yeah it did, and im sure its allright now caus i now have spark and fuel but no running... My friend jacked my alternator fuse and that was the caus of %90 of my electrical problems earlier that i didnt think about. That extra plug went to my dropping resistor that was on the stock air box which was in my basement :). So now i have spark, and im pretty sure i have fuel but it still wont crank. I dont think its timing because i still ahve japanese tape on my ecu and CAS showing it was never touched.

are you sure the injectors are firing? I know you said you have fuel going up to the fuel rail, but do you have fuel coming out of the injectors? The best way to check is to remove the CAS, put the key in the ON position and then turn the CAS. You should hear the injectors clicking. Make sure it's not the sparkplugs by unplugging the sub-harness from the main harness. Try that and let us know how it goes.

oh...if you dont get it started you might have clogged injectors...my where stuck open when i first started the car and drove it around....NO low-end torqe with that FYI...pull them and let them set in carb cleaner for an hour if they are clogged. that is what i did and boy did it make a difference

well the ecu wasnt wrong after all... but when i try to crank, or just turn it on, when i turn it back off and take the key out everything stays on so it sounds like i have a problem somewhere with the wiring. But i got belts now so im hoping thats my NEXT problem :)

Well i went BACK over my wiring, i had one thing wrong in the engine bay, but now the wiring in engine and dash is EXACTLY like heavy throttle minus the o2 sensor power which i dont even have an O2 sensor hooked up so it doesnt matter. But when i try to crank and it wont start, when i pull the key out, the seatbelt/battery and so on dash lights are still on... whats wrong!!! Is there anyone near acworth/kennesaw ga that could come over one day and help me??

Well, if you are getting spark and fuel, but the car isn't starting, that means your injectors are clogged and this is a common problem on these engines when they sit for a while without starting them.

Get yourself a bottleof quick start and spray some in the throttle body, and try to start it, if it start for a sec or two, your injectors are clogged them. if so, then keep spraying bit by bit and keep starting it and eventually it will run.

Got me stumped on the electrical problem too. Did you try what I said? Thats easier than pulling the injectors.

the plug in pic number 4 goes to the Fuel pressure reg solenoid.don't think it needs to be plugged in to go.

well i know of one went to the boost solenoid but i took that out. Ill try the starter fluid idea first, then then remove CAS and hear for clikcing thing next.
