You're 100% correct, I had a typo. It is 14.65 to 1 (not 17.65 like I typed). 14.7-1 is a generic number rounded up from true stoich of 14.65. Look it up
So we're going to go there huh?
I am an ASE certified Master Technician, an ASE certified Under Car specialist, an ASE certified Advanced Level Technician, and a Bosch Certified Technician. All of those are legitimate certifications that you could also verify do exist. I also have an Associates Degree in Automotive Science and a partial degree in Business. I have worked as a professional Technician for 15 years, 13 of them at my current shop where I am the lead technician.
Once again, you don't (can't?) read. I said the catalyst is NOT the ONLY emission equipment designed to reduce NOx. I also said a car probably wouldn't pass without a cat, but if you could program your own fuel/timing maps you could probably greatly reduce combustion tempatures and drop NOx. But that would require a tuneable ECU and some one with the time to tune it specifically for that. But why?
I also said that the EGR wouldn't run on an idle test. You really are f***ing retarded aren't you?
here, I'll make it easy because research isn't your fortay-From the ASE website
Test Series Descriptions and InformationASE tests are divided into "Test Series", each covering a particular discipline within the automotive industry (for example, automobile, medium/heavy truck, machinist, etc.). The links below connect with details about tests within the described test series. Test series descriptions include information on the series objective, scope, test development, format, certification requirements, recognition, fees, and registration. At the end of each description are links to additional resources, such as the study guides covering that particular test series, as well as the registration booklet for the next available test administration.
Click on the link for the test series you would like more information about:

Please, for the sake of all things automotive, stop digging a deeper hole. As much as I care about your local hillbilly forums, YOU are the big a** idiot on NICO.Wash tech? People are so dumb in your parts they need to get certified to wash cars? Damn, that sucks. Could they add up all the teeth on your local forums to get a full mouth ?
