Wiring Specialties wrote:ItzGenX - the RB26 R32 harness is very close to an RB20 unit, so making one would not be too difficult. Part ofthe issue is that the RB26 harness is complex enough, has a lot of extra wiring ( 2 mafs and 2 o2s and Injector Resistor Pack) and makes it much more expensive to make than the Sr or even the RB20/25 units we now make. If the interest is there, we can do a few hundred, but the swap is expensive enough, there aren't too many being done.

I might be wrong, so if we can get some interest here and get 20-30 pre-orders, it might be enough. Pricing will be $450 per harness or near so.
Any thoughts?

Also, Rb20 and RB25 harnesses are done, going to production now. Brand new pics and specs will be up on the site this coming week.
I know i would be interested in one. As long as it comes with engine harness for the RB26 and the lower harness for an RB25 transmission i would be set :bigthumb:

I think the interest is there. Nothing like a brand new harness complete plug-n-play for the rb26 w/rb25 trans

Yes you are wrong the lol. All the harnesses discussed in this thread are all about pre-made complete engine harnesses. So far they have them for the RB25, but not the RB26. That's what we are trying to convince the Wiring Specialties guys on. They just need about 20-30 pre-orders and they can start production on them.

Wanna buy one lol :dblthumb:

^^ Thats the point of these. They are OEM style harnesses. They are also a great option for those who don't want to tear into their own harnesses and meld them together. With a start up guarantee I think they are worth the money. Contact Yuri, I believe he is the guy at Wiring Specialties that can tell you everything about these.

Thanks for the bits guys.
Just to clarify a few questions - We offer wiring service (which we have been doing for about 10 years now) and pre-made wiring harnesses that are a direct replacement to the JDM harness in a 240sx chassis. For now we have S13 SR in S13 and S14 chassis 240sx IN STOCK. The RB25 and RB20 into S13 have been in development a long time and are now almost done. The S14 SR into S13 and S14 chassis are also almost complete. So, we'll have a bunch of new offerings this year.

The new harnesses are made to our specifications, so they fit into the 240 perfectly and utilize OEM connectors and wiring specs.
The RB25 harness will retail for $399-$425, depending on the last few adjustments.
RB26 harnesses are currently not in the works. We'll see how things progress with interest for the RB26 units and decide later.

Well I hope you make the RB26 harnesses it would sure help a lot of us who chose to do the RB26 swap, but I understand the need for a large customer interest. Also if you did make pre-mades would you be able to wire in boost controllers and SAFC's still, just like your wiring service?

Mine's in the mail right now. So far the service has been above and beyond my expectations, couldn't be happier :yesnod

Since my engine setup is anything but stock, Yury had me send him pics and went over my setup with me to make sure the harness was modified to fit my application. He extended the MAFS plug and wired it for my Z32 blowthru setup, etc...

I'll post up some pics and a quick review after I install it. Still waiting on another stupid intake manifold gasket before I can throw everything back together, for the tenth time

So I got my new harness yesterday and installed it today. All I can say is WOW! Everything was perfect and the fitment is great.

It's so nice to not have to worry about breaking brittle old clips. The quality of the connectors is fantastic. The wires are nice and pliable, very easy to work with. It even came with step-by-step instructions which made the installation take about 30 minutes.

I'll get some pics up tomorrow of the finished product.

Thanks again Wiring Specialties :bigthumb:

Great to hear! I just ordered mine so hopefully it gets here soon. I'm installing into my still auto vert would that be any different from an auto 240sx? I ask because I want to be able to drop my top while in motion hahaha.

any updates on this? I am interested in an rb25 series 1 into an s14. I have an rb25 in my 98 s14 already, and it runs, but cylinders 5 and 6 have low compression/oil drains when i pour oil in the cylinders. I bought an rb25 motorset off of someone and am currently swaping the engines out so that I can rebuild my rb25 (and still be able to drive my "fun" car in the mean time) If you guys need an rb25-s14 harness for development, let me know because I will have an extra just sitting around for a while.

Rawbrokerage doesn't have that harness yet. I called them about a month ago when it was on their website and they don't have them. I don't know why they have it on their website when the product still hasn't been completed. I think the S14 rb25 harness is expected to be delivered sometime around the end of this year.

That is correct. The RB25 to S14 will be available for pre-orders this week on our site and will be arriving in December.

Boosted, if you are looking for this setup, send us an email at [email protected]
This is something I can make as long as you can send me your core harnesses for modification.
