Do you guys need a rb25det harness s1 with transmission harness into s13? MY project is on the back burner for a while so not really worried on the time. If so I can send it out whenever.

Jason, we have gotten a ton of suggestions, so THANKS everyone. If you are putting the project on a backburner, we can surely use a few models to work with.

If you can, please email me at [email protected] so we can go over the details.

Thanks again.Yury

I would agree with Evan on this. I am the one who received the harness that was wired wrong.Your customer service was okay, every time I called I got a human to talk to which was nice. My problem is i know NOTHING about wiring that is why i paid 450.00 + shipping to have my harness made by you guys. It took 12 weeks to get the harness back for one, yes every time i called someone could give me an update about the harness but no one could tell me when i would get it!When i plugged it in and it didnt run/run correctly i called and you told me it was most likely a bad sensor as the check engine light never came on. You listed 4-5 sensors (cant remember which anymore) that could be causing it. I bought all sensor hoping this would fix it. Thats not a huge issue its the price tag that comes with these sensors as i had to source alot of them from importers or else where. This still didnt fix the problem so i started ordering more sensor as you told me there is no way the harness is faulted. I met Evan luckly on here and he came over a couple of nights and we ended up cutting open the harness and found the MAF issue and boom it ran/idled perfect! There was another issue. some of the soilders and or connections in the harness were lose. i drove it to a friends house shortly after we got it runing and it would start again! there was no power in the entire car, no gauges, nothing. i ended up towing it back to my house and went through the entire harness and re solidered every connection the the harness. i never had that issue again. All said and done i was just over 1k in debt from sensors and towing the car back to my house. i was fed up and needed to get out of debt so i had to sell the car. I loved that car but for some reason after dealing with that i was just done with it. I am not trying to bash your company and or products and i understand that mistakes happen but when i called you and told you about all the issue you said that could not have happened... it did. You had me send you pictures of the faults. In the end i think i got 75.00 back from you which i guess you at least it was something, at that point i would have taken anything. If i were to do this conversion again i would look into your new harness only if you did bench testing. I was under the impression you did that already but that would be the only way. Like i said i am not trying to push people away from your product but if Evan didnt save my as* i would have spent even more money on the few sensors i didnt replace and would have ended up selling a non running RB25 240.You can feel free to email me. [email protected] (No haters that email is from highschool)

Stephan,

I feel terrible that our mistake ruined the swap for you. I know not much can help at this point, but for whatever its worth, I am sorry for having put you through the experience.

Its been a year since you and i worked on the swap and we made tech support changes internally based on this issue. We do a lot of harnesses on a monthly basis and unfortunately mistakes happen. Having the signal and ground MAFS wiring switched is a rookie mistake and i can't figure out how i was not able to diagnose it. I do it every day. Part of the push back is that I talk to dozens of people every day that have engine running issues that they quickly attribute to the harness, no matter who did the wiring conversion. It's simple to point at the wiring.

Well, the great news is that with our new pre-made SR and RB harnesses, the human element is removed for the major part. All harnesses are manufactured to the same specifications, in large quantities and are bench tested prior to shipping. The factory manufactures vehicle, robotic and construction wiring, so i am very impressed with the quality and the testing process. I am very excited to finally be able to offer a replacement wiring solution for our swaps.

I shot you an email a couple of weeks ago. Also, the no power in the car symptom is a chassis harness bug.

ThanksYury

We'll certainly keep everyone posted on the RB harnesses.
Both the RB20 and RB25 S1/S2 harnesses are being finalized this month. I'll post pictures of the production sample as soon as we get it in the shop.

Thanks

i cannot see a harness taking 8-10 weeks to make, i make obd-2 honda harnesses in under a day.....

wondering why you have a customer wait almost 2.5 weeks for a harness that will take you under a week to make

Guys the RB25 and RB20 harnesses are almost done. We had to wait 8 weeks in for the OEM ECU connector. We are using the new style units, similar to the S15 SR20DET and had to wait for production to complete. More updates to come.

Check the link with new harnesses becoming available: http://wiringspecialties.com/wsrehasrandr.html

Thanks

Isn't the RB26 wiring VERY similar to that of the R33 RB25(minus NVCS of course and added resistor box)? I always thought so due to the fact that my Haltech Platinum Pro is for R32/R33 RB25+RB26. All I would have to do is change the map for the respective engines. I understand the pinouts may be similar, but I am unsure how similar or different the actual harness and plugs are for various sensors and such. I would love to get a hold of a clean manufactured RB26/S14 harness.

I vote RB26 harness with the RB25 transmission harness. You would make my headche of a swap a lot easier. :bigthumb: and what ecu would these hook up to? I have an R32 GTR ecu and KA ecu. If I wanted to do a stand alone, would I get one for an R32 or KA with this harness?
Please, please, please do this lol :wavey:

ItzGenX - the RB26 R32 harness is very close to an RB20 unit, so making one would not be too difficult. Part ofthe issue is that the RB26 harness is complex enough, has a lot of extra wiring ( 2 mafs and 2 o2s and Injector Resistor Pack) and makes it much more expensive to make than the Sr or even the RB20/25 units we now make. If the interest is there, we can do a few hundred, but the swap is expensive enough, there aren't too many being done.

I might be wrong, so if we can get some interest here and get 20-30 pre-orders, it might be enough. Pricing will be $450 per harness or near so.
Any thoughts?

Also, Rb20 and RB25 harnesses are done, going to production now. Brand new pics and specs will be up on the site this coming week.
