Yeah those JPNZ manuals suck for wiring purposes, I can't believe I paid $160 shipped for this POS. Thought I could use it to wire up my harnesses.
But anyways, yeah I realized today looking over the harnesses and the sticky about the "8 step" doesnt help much for s14, I agree.
I did findout that as someone else tried the KA speed sensor fits right into the RB20 transmission (on RB25 engine). So I have that going so far.
This is what I have gathered so far:
the ECU plug, pinouts are available but the ones I downloaded are useless, just numbers.
The white plug (EFI harness?) beside the ECU plug, plugs right into the s14 interior harness white plug, but I understand this needs to be repinned or spliced. However I do not know what the wires on the RB side of the white plug do as I do not have a pinout diagram for it either.
I was told by a few people that they used both upper and lower RB harness, so that should be ok, but I am assuming the speed sensor plug will need to be removed from the KA lower harness and spliced into the RB lower harness, for what I have done with the speed sensor.
I know that the twin power connector from the engine bay fuse box needs juice, so it will go into a distribution block that will be wired to my battery in my trunk.
This is as far as I have gotten so far. I plan on using the KA interior harness, KA cluster, and everything so I need to find someone who has used the KA interior harness and how to wire this in. I am going to order a tach signal adaptor to correct the tach prob.
Also, I am removing all emissions from the RB that can possibly be removed so hopefully this should help.
18hr: which setup did you end up doing, harness wise?
