RainX crap?Sounds like user error to me!!

Gotta put in the elbow grease to get it to work correctly. Already been covered by others so I won't waste my keystrokes

btw; I recently replaced my 1yr old wiper blades and I've found that the cheapest crap available seems to work nearly as well as expensive Trico ones I've used in the past :D

i've used rainx on and off on my car and his worked well when i do use it. I've even used the megueirs mist and wipe and that works almost the same on glass and cleans it too. My girlfriend gave me a bottle of fog x to try cause my windows always fogged up in the winter, that sucked.

rainx=goodfogx=crap

This I agree with. I used to LOVE Rain-X. BUT, it's like Chapstick in that once you use it you have to constatly use it for life or you will have minor issues (I've had the black rubber streaking issue as well and I use non-cheap wipers). If you use it on an old-pitted windshield you are asking for trouble if you have to drive into the sun because there is no way to get it totally out of all the little pits in the window, thus you have additional "white out" going on and there is not much you can do about it. Yes Brian, I know how to use the product

Since having to replace my windshield I have not used any in over a year and I am still on my 2nd set of wiper blades since the replacement. Unfortunately (or fortunately) I put Rain-X wiper blades on this time so I will have to see if I have issues as a result.

I just changed my wipers. I went with a 26" "Contour" ANCO blade on the drivers side and a cheaper 13" Anco Aero. I like the smaller 13". I can't tell a huge difference overall, but I think it does follow the curve of the windshield a little better.

I also am a long time user of Rain-X. Works great, expecially when scraping ice off the windows in winter. Yes, there is a slight streaking effect as the wipers pass, but you don't need to use the wiers as much. In a heavy rain, I consider it an essential safety feature. I almost never use the high speed setting of the wipers. With Rain-X, there's no point.

I'm going to try and get 2 years out of the rear wiper. $36 for a crappy OEM wiper assemby sucks!

Oh, I thought of this today and thought I'd add it... After they replaced my windshield, the large wiper did not conform to the windshield properly because there was a nut on the wiper arm that needed to be adjusted... once it was adjusted the wiper had no issues with contact. mayhap this be a problem for those who notice the wiper is not making full contact?

See, I got lucky, and when my car was keyed, and I wetsanded the whole thing, in the last buffing stage, I accidentally hit the sunroof with the buffer. In that spot it cleaned all the water spots that were pitted in, and left the glass polished and crystal clear. So I went ahead and buffed all the glass. Works as good as rainX.

PB - Check your profile. Since it says there that you're 103 years old, I think Kimber's comment was spot on!

Two things you shouldn't do on my watch. One...don't be an insufferable IDIOT. You my friend have some serious emotion turmoil going upstairs, I suggest you seek out some prefessional help. Two, don't insult contributing members in my forum with no reason other then to see your post count go up.

You just made it to my "Red Lipstick List" buddy, not a good place to be.

I read your replys. You suck at grammar, you are delusional at best and all the points you made suck. The guy that owns Nico can be reached here, [email protected]. Link him to this thread.

Then after he tells you that this is just the way I am, you can go back to your paranoid delusional world.

Those aren't threats either, it means I'm watching you to see if all you post is garbage. If that's the case then it's you who will be "removed" and I'll be the one that does it. Thanks for playing

Save yourself some hassle. So far, WD is the one who took the time to document, in very clear language, the process for properly utilizing a simple product - something that eludes you.

Don't jack with my staff - Their value to the forums is immeasurable, and WD is among the "best of the best".

I rain-x'd my whole car once.... does it do anything to the paint? Because it worked great for the 3months until I took it off the road. Even road tar wiped off with ease.

RainX makes a wax, but the RainX made for the windshield should NOT be used on the paint.

I don't get paid by anybody except my job and its not enough. I think rainx works great. I drive 150 miles a day to and from work and another 250 miles a day in my gas tanker and I use rainx on both windshields. I am not a paid whatever. Oh and I also use Amsoil. I have been using that for about 10 years give or take a year and I swear by both of them.
