I had to give a friend that works at a hospital a ride to and from work during peak of the storm. the highways were off limits to non essential personnel. My condo association only plowed the main road and left my driveway with about a 4ft high wall of snow a few feet wide too!
The Rogue went through it all. I have driven to Niagara falls during snowstorms that shut down the NY Thru-way and had no problems at all. I am VERY impressed with the Rogue's abilities in the snow.
The only issue I had was last night's storm. My ABS kicked in when trying to stop going down a steep hill. After the ABS event was over I hear a series of clicks. I've had my Rogue for 3 years now and never heard that sound before. Should I be concerned?
Wow! That's pretty impressive, can you post some shots of the snow? Down here in Delaware, all we got was a little rain. BTW, Is you ride FWD or AWD?
I'm no expert, but I did a little research and the general results point to a possible problem with a sensor in one of your wheel hubs...
BUT, if you hear it when braking and are not braking hard or have road conditions (like slick roads) to justify ABS activation, sounds like you have a wheel speed sensor out of whack (as you may also notice your stopping seems a little erratic too). That clicking while braking is the ABS pump engaging and doing it's job. Best course of action is figure out which speed sensor is bad and replace it. That will require changing a wheel hub (as the sensor is in the hub).
Some scan tools can read and capture data from the wheel sensors to help narrow down the faulty one.
