Yup, I got it. Couldn't pry it off with my keys though, so I'll break out the screwdrivers tomorrow when I have more light.

There's a screw holding it. If you pry it out, you will break the bottom portion, but I think you can install it with some sillicone stuff. Right way to remove is you have to go from A pillar interior trim -> rubber molding -> outer metal trim -> corner piece.

Loki, how's your headliner cover? I need it.

I've been working with James on getting his top peice and corner peices if he hasn't promised them to someone else. I have to fix some rust up there and wanted to have them in case the other peices were worthless.

Any way he said, "I checked the car after uninstalling more parts this weekend and noticed somthing. The trim piece can be removed safely by unscrewing the plastic clips from underneath. The trick is to remove the interior plastic trim where the sunvisors are and use a socket in a bunch of recessed holes."

Hope that helps.

Ah, didn't know that. Headline has the usual crack near the rearview. Man, that is one PITA to remove!

Loki,Crack is fine. Can you take it out for me? Only the sunvisor and interior light screws are holding it. It's fragile, so you gotta be careful though.

I can't get the damn thing off I'll yell at it again tomorrow afternoon I guess.

BTW I took the headliner out. It has some pretty bad cracks near the rearview and both hole for the sun visors. I can get pics up tomorrow.

That's what I'm wondering. Mine could survive a nuclear war I believe.

I do have the windows, but I have no idea how to get them out. Also have the map light rearview, but it was damaged in the crash. I know the mirror itself is cracked, and I'm not sure if the lights were damaged as well. Anyone know a way I could check after removing it?

hook it up to a 12v battery.

The lights were probably not damaged, though.

I managed to get a set of 1/4 windows out of a junker vert when they were down. It was not fun, but I managed it somehow.

Switching out the mirror glass could be tricky.

Nah, it's not the leg that's the trouble, it's my own inexperience as usual. I'm gonna print a couple pages from the FSM (if it works) and take them with me tomorrow.

Also, do you need the little mount that is attached to the windshield?
