Hey, I'm impatient so i went outside and snipped the mirror off. Everything looks fine except for one thing: the lights are held in by plastic clips, and on one side of one of the lights these clips are broken off, so the light hangs half out. I believe a bit of dum-dum on the inside will fix this. And the mirror is stupidly easy to replace. Just pop in the right shape and pop on a plastic retainer clip. Done. How much do these usually go for?

BTW, I just stripped the ends of the wires and put them to a 12V; they work.

$23 shipped for both pieces? Or you're welcome to haggle if that seems high

are you talking about the mirror and the driver's quarter window? or the mirror and windshield corner piece?

That was for the corner piece and the mirror. I was kinda mad from what I had to do to get it out so I might've shot a bit high.

BUT! I did get the driver's side window out today, and as soon as I get a 10mm wrench I can remove the gear junk that moves it. One problem though: the window is on three guide tracks which it follows with cheapo plastic pieces and half of the middle piecey broke off. I think it would probably work just fine, but I'm really not sure. Still want it?

If you've never removed it before how do you know the plastic dealies are borked? or did you break ALL of them and the window then came out on it's own? That's what I ended up doing on the passenger side, but I finally figured it all out with the driver's side and took it out very carefully. I guess that one plastic dealie broke in the crash.

But anyways, if you're good with that price I can have it boxed and shipped manana. Paypal is [email protected]

Speaking of which I must go box Eikon and Ish's junk...

yea i can actually see the that the guides are broken off the tracks, but the metal arm thingie is still connected so it's not actually fallen off completely. all i actually do need is the window with all the plastic things, dont need any gears and all that. so if you already have the whole thing out i'll take it, but all i really need is the window with all the stuff attached to it. here's a pic can you tell me which thing you broke on it?

I'll take some pics tomorrow on what's broken and what you need to do to get the window out. Apparently they're quite fragile.

Does anyone want a Write Up on removal of rear window stuff?

hey sorry, completely forgot about this

the middle white plastic piece. half of it is broken off. There is a way to remove the whole metal backing but you need a special tool to do so.

Just to be sure, you only want the window, right? Not the metal thing it slides on? Cause you should still have that part from the sounds of it.

i just got done putting in my window after cussing at it a lot. it's actually not all that hard, you have to remove the whole assembly that the window attaches to, which is just three bolts, one on bottom behind the bottom cushion of the seat, and two up top. take the cotter pin out of the control arm, window has to be about midway up and take arm off and let it rest downward....then slide window down by hand.....then take the nuts off the three bolts, might help to screw the bolts in some so they arent so badly in the way....then slide out towards back of car tilting and moving it around object then pull out. if i knew so many ppl wanted a write up b4 i did this i woulda taken pics, but anyone can ask me if they have any ?'s.....oh and a major tip....the plastic pieces that break, they can be stressed unnecessarily if you don't have your stopper screws not adjusted correctly. make sure the window stops on those and not the top of the car, but make sure its far up enough to seal properly. and grease your tracks like a mofo or the evil monkey will come from your closet!
