These instructions can be utilized to reset the power window modules for newer-generation Nissan and Infiniti products
Reset Power Windows:
If the power window automatic function (closing only) does not operate properly, perform the following procedure to initialize the power window system.
1. Push the ignition switch to the ON position.
2. Close the door.
3. Open the window more than halfway by operating the power window switch.
4. Pull the power window switch and hold it to close the window, and then hold the switch for more than 3 seconds after the window is closed completely.
5. Release the power window switch. Operate the window by automatic function to confirm the initialization is complete.
6. Perform steps 2 through 5 above for other windows.
Sorry, I didn't realize there was a different poster on here. Good luck with the switch and please let us all know if that was the issue.bdavis007 wrote:Mine have not, I am replacing the master switch this weekend
Yes we all know. You are not a car guy. Good to Infiniti help sites or go to a dealer. Of course its a lot of work. These are not your father's cars. Why would you take the door off? The master switch pops out in about two seconds if you would have read the Infiniti manual.bdavis007 wrote:I took the door off last night thinking it would be an easy fix, but defintely not the case. Does anyone know how to from the cables for the door lock and handle? Removing the master window switch is a lot of work with 90 degree bends etc.....
This should be fun.
On my 2004 its and easy fix. Maybe you have a harder to fix one on your year and model. However, you bought a high priced car. Why not just take it a dealer and pay to have it fixed? When you buy a high end car you have to expect to pay high end prices to get it repaired.bdavis007 wrote:Does this guy know what he is talking about? I have looked at the tech's manual and have not seen anything to indicate it "pops" out.
Thanks!
