Wind Noise around door seals.

I notice in my dad's rogue that there is what sounds like a window that is open around the top edge of doors. I just put some dressing on the seals to see if that would help but is there another way to get rid of that noise? As I know my dad notices it as well. Thanks.

Not sure how old your dad's vehicle is, however, inspect the seal around the door. Look for any damage to the seal, any dirt, tears, rips or general wear. It may be time to replace the seal, they eventually degrade over time and need replaced. The seals are one of the most overlooked items on a vehicle; the same as the refrigerator door seal in your kitchen.

Another thing you can check; try to lift up on the door while it is open, sometimes the door hinges start to weaken and begin to sag some creating a small gap between the seal and the upper door jam.

Good ideas from boston824, in some cases it's not the seals but a misaligned door. You could ask your dealer to check the doors for alignment issues.

I had this same issue, and in the end I used foam tape in some key areas which eliminated the excrutiating wind noise I experienced with my Rogue. The doors appeared to be aligned properly and the dealer was unable to help so In the end my "dirty" fix got the job done and I'm happy. Here's the link to my fix with photos and details:

It's a 2009 with only 40,000 on it. I hope it isn't a door misalignment.
