Probably not......Nissan,along with all the other car companies, are now all worried about fuel economy and family vehicles.

perhaps they will. but don't expect power & handling

Power/handling/low cost. choose choose any two.

Power + low cost = muscle car = no handlingPower + handling = 350z = no low costHandling + low cost = s chassis variant = no power

??? Is this a trick question? Haven't they made more 2 doors under 30k than over 30k?

UNBELIEVABLE the 350Z is under 30k, currently. I don't understand how this question could be asked. Do you mean to ask if there will be another 240sx? MSRP ranged from 18k-24k in 1998. 350z starts at about 27k today; figuring ~3% inflation that's about 15% since '98. Basically a 350Z costs what a 240 theoretically would today.

ugh 27k to me is a dealer scam. 25k and under is 30k.

thats like saying "get this great deal for this cookie for only 5 payments of 29.99" Its not under 30 bux unless its 25 or under.

I guess if tax, registration and financing charges were dealer scams I could see your point. It's still a good buy. What's your other option for a decent 2 door? Miata? RSX? Celica? Civic? The Z is the best cars are going to get for the price the Z starts at. I don't think any automaker will make a better bargain.

I was looking at the sentra spec v. I know its a 4 door but its a 2.5L 4 cyl making 175hp/180tq..... with 23/29 gas milage. Now with that in mind.... 220hp from the Z and spend 6k more for a 2 door?

ops thats the older one 220 for the older Z i guess and 278 for the newer ^^;

But also 278 w/ 3815 lbs. ?? is that a very good power to weight?

You asked a very simple open ended question and then you put limitations on it. The base and enthusiast model Z's are very good deals for what you get. I'd venture to guess that you can probably get a better markdown from MSRP for these models over a track or touring model.

And 3815 lbs? The G35C is a heavier car than the Z and it is only about 34xx lbs. The Z is about 32xx lbs depending on the trim.

they should bring back the fairlady roadster in some extent, not the Z roadster, something a little smaller and 4 cylinder powered to rival Miatas. ****, redo the G20 and market it around 25k with right at 200 at the wheels via a better VQ25...

Its actually way higher than my car (stock). Its a low 14sec car from the factory for under and around 30k.

w1ingzer0: I heard Nissan is pumping up the horsepower a lot on next years Sentra Spec V. That's another sub $30K Nissan 2-door that's aimed at the young enthusiasts.

Exactly, the 350Z is a 28 k car reasonably equipped.

The new 240.

Buy a 350Z for say 28k after all's said and done, spend a couple grand for the Greddy TT it or the Stillen SC kit, a couple more for Tein's coilover/EDFC package and some nice rims and tires...heheh--monstrous.

i was looking at the sentra. Also the 350z. I need a better job before anything. Just thinking of future cars. I dunno i emailed this technican position my resume and asked if they got it ok... No reply. I think that is a bad sign... :(

the power on both the 350z and sentra are impressive one problem bothers me though. recalls. 350z with its feathering problem and the sentra with its ecu short problem i would be scared to buy a new nissan.

You'd be much better off choosing a domestic or Mitsubishi. :rotflmao

Perhaps one of Toyota's offerings in the sportscar area, oh wait...

Perhaps an over-glorfied Civic that's slower than the Spec-V (RSX-S). Or the S2000, unless of course you like your power this century.
