I have already searched around and i haven't found a good answer. The connectors look the same, but will it confuse the ecu and not work correctly?

As far as I know, Nissan used the exact same knock sensors on all there cars from the early 90s until some time into the 2000s.

As far as the harness goes, knock sensors only use 2 wires, one for signal, and one for ground. I would bet that Nissan used the same sides for the pins, so as to save money.

Give it a shot, if it works it works, if not, it will throw a code.

Thanks for the reply man, that would make sense for nissan to use the same connectors throughout their cars, but i am short on cash and i cant risk it. I have to be sure it is the right fit. Do you know anywhere that i can find just the harness of the knock sensor besides courtesy nissan? Autozone,Advanced Auto, Pep boys, etc fails to acknowledge the existence of that pesky wire.

Not sure where you can find one, but after I had issues with the first KS subharness, I just cut the harness, and made my own.

I think is the same harness, just try it out..if it works you get code 55 if not you get code 34.nothing will mess up the ecu will just restard the timing..but if it works you get better acceleration and smooth idle..it's a pita to put on the knock sensor but I found and easier way if need it I'll type it out..

Well i got it on and thanks for your offer, but i found a good way that gets it on without having to move a ton. I just unbolt the fuel lines that are bolted to the int mani and moved them aside and slipped a 1/4 inch extension and i got it in without to much trouble.

Unfortunatly it didn't solve my unique problem, but i am now leaning towards checking my crank angle sensor or crank position sensor(sorry im not sure if theyre the same thing with different names). Anyways i am unable to find any info on their location and how you go about removing them, but hopefully someone could help me out.
